I had my first 5th edition game today and a question popped up. If a Warboss allows me to take a Nob or Meganob squad as a troop choice, does that mean that they can hold objectives? I'm not really sure, so I thought I better ask you guys.
Same goes then of course for Wazzdakka's troop bikes and a Big Mek's Dread.

nobz, mega nobz and bikers counting as a troop choice are able to hold objectives

not sure on dreadz as they are walkers.

Yes, to Nobs.
Yes, to Bikes.
No, to Dreads (Since they are vehicles.)

The rest live up to the requirements.

1. From Troops.
2. Non-vehicle.
3. Non-swarm.

Because the wording in the german book is a bit weird on that. I quote:

And the Ork 'Dex says they can be taken as a troop choice

Certainly, any non vehicle unit which is taken as a troops choice (regardless of whether migrated there as a result of another selection) is a scoring unit. Huhuhuhuh. I said score.

all troop units are able to hold objectives, but with some additions.
vehciles are one of those along with swarms.
