I have just purchased the black reach box set [waiting for it to come in the mail

, what ever happened to beaming technology?] and i have been looking over the models and i really hate the nob models in the pack and cant think of anything to do with them.

Any ideas?

Flash Gitz, if you're going to use them in your army. Otherwise, just use them as leaders for your boyz mobs

i have found that they are a really ugly model to be honest, so what ever i do i think im going to my to pull out the green stuff and bitz box

Yea,I have the same problem,I have 11 of them and each time I take them down to paint 'em I sort of shudder,they realy are awful,well perhaps awful isnt the right word..there just so static.
I'm going to chop one up and try to convert him to lead my shootah boyz other than that I'm stuck,I'm not keen on flash gits so thats out but I do agree grab the green stuff and the bitz box and pray

cut them in half, glue onto warbikes, and use them as nob bikers.

Warbikes hey, not a big fan of them and also the nob models themselves are bad not just the bottom half, the nob with the eye patch look seanile and old, almost dying of old age lol

I refitted several w/ power claws and use them as nobz for the boyz mobz.
I agree that some of them are really ugly, but there are ones that look decent with a little work.

I like the AoBR Nobz. They are bulky, brutal and as ugly as boss Orks should be. I painted them up as they were, using some for unit leaders.

To me nobz have klaws and go in boyz mobz.

The Nobz we get are big and ugly enough, I have looted spare klaws, when I get some nobz it will be time to operate.

That will account for four nobz, the fifth is bits.

Buzzsaws like deff dread/kan CCWs, a kit bashed selection of choppa boy chainsaw blades etc. Do a search there are several "make your own" and "kitbash your own" how to tutorials for PKs.

I've got to be honest and say that I'm not a fan of the click-set thing of the new starter kits, so I'd convert them up the wazoo into something else, but that's just personal flavor... I'd say go for the nobs, they're a good unit

I like them. I'm gonna use them with the new ones in Jan, as NOBs in Boys units. With some spare bits.

So far, my plan is to leave them on the sprue and stick them in my closet. Cheap plastic Nobz are like fine cheeses; they need to age properly.

put some caracter into the nids and make the nids so they are eating the nobz, ripin em apart.

I reckon Deffguns and Snazzguns are pretty similar really...

Convert your Nobs to have really big guns, then you can field them as Lootas (always a winner, and you need more than the four + Mek you get in the box) or Flash Gits depending on your mood/opponent.

a snazzgun is pretty much a deff gun with no cage on it.

Agreed 100%. That's what I'm doing.

Leftover nobs will be used for killteam, or 5150, or alternative figs for Warmachine in some way (STEAMPUNK ORKS!!!).

I want some flash gitz, so the nobz make perfect sense to me for that. The gitz have nob stat lines, and with a little modification, it should be possible to do some nifty gitz gunz. For example, I'm thinking that the Warboss's gun is a perfect gitz gun, so I'm going to see if I can get some of the AoBR warbosses for cheap on ebay, since GW nolonger offers bitz.

i personally liked them. i think what makes people not like them is the little thought in the back of there heads that says "HAHAHAH! you cant convert us unless you chop us into 9 parts and GS us back together!!!!"
i made iron gobs for all of them. made a few weapon mods and bulked up the shoulder pads. they really look nice after that.

Just wait for the new nobz box to come out in January. Use the extra arms from that set to make different nobz from the AoBR nobz. There are at least 4 kombi-shoota-like guns in the new nobz set, modify those a little and you have Flash Gitz.

I am going to convert mine, give some PK and some BCs.(There is a great tutorial in the modeling section!)
Ill probably convert one in to Boss Snikrot for my Red Skull Kommandoes....

If you are really short of ideas and want something simple to convert loot some Thunderhammers ansd use them to replace the choppas at the wrist.

Thunderhammer 'counts as' klaw, noone can get away with complaining at that.
