Might as well give the captain a LC instead of the PW. He can't get +1 A with a stormbolter anyway.

Why all the chain fists?

Why no Extra Armor? PotMS lost its license and can't drive anymore, thus a stunned result is a sitting still tank transport.

you dont need a +1 attack the stormbolter is great cause you can shoot 2 times then assualt keep it, but i would try to beef him up a little id drop the wirlwind and add some stuff to your hero like bionics and anything with a bonus to your state line and get him a mantle for he cant be instant killed as easy.

You can't get a Mantle anymore, and I suggested a LC over a power weapon, as he can't get +1A from two close combat weapons so for the same points you can get:
a power weapon that won't get +1A because its paried with a stormbolter,
or a power weapon that rerolls failed wounds, and won't get +1A because its not paired with a second LC.

but a storm bolter is better 2 shots then assault instead of one and its a 24 inch weapon he will get shot to hell before he gets anywhere if he cant shoot back. and i didnt know about the mantle not being on the list anymore.

Deathmachine at no point have I suggested getting rid of the storm bolter.

For 118 points you can have:

Stormbolter and Power Sword. No +1A, your failed wounds... fail to wound.

Or for 118 points you can have:

Stormbolter and Lightning Claw. Still no +1A, but now your failed wounds... have a second chance via a reroll.

Bionics are gone too, by the way.

To many heavy support because you cannot take a Land Raider as a transport in this kind of list without it counting against your force organization chart as a heavy support choice.

I see a Terminator Squad for the Dedicated Transport option.

heck, over all mac 91 i would say the list looks good. and what breton said about the lightning claw could work well. but i did not think you could take a landraider without it using a Heavy support slot but i do not have the new book so i couldnt tell you.

Yeah, help him by suggesting he buy things that are no longer available in the codex you don't own. And arguing against an item change- the rules in the codex you don't own make an LC a better choice than a PW- because changing from a PW to a LC somehow means you can't fire your stormbolter that was never mentioned... in the codex you don't own.

oh smreferee i said i didnt know you could take a LR and 3 other heavy supports slots i new its a dedicated transport so no theres no burn.

So you knew it was a dedicated transport... but you didn't know it didn't take a HS choice as a Dedicated Transport. Its on page 135 of the new codex. And don't listen to smreferee, after all it could have been worse. You could have told him to buy an Iron Halo.

umm, I know it was a little thing I like to call sarcasm and pointing out that someone is giving poor advice without owning the relevant codex is helping him with his list.

yeah thats what i was told but who knows it sounds like it was a ban for life kinda thing not just a week.

ok...the plasma cannon on the dreadie I'm iffy on, since all blast weapons now deviate.
can you run an assault termie squad instead of the standard termie squad? race that LR across the board and have them jump out and assault...the claws and hammers will kill almost everything...
and why does the whirlwind have extra armour? its not like that thing needs to move alot? put in on the rhino with the PF sgt. in it...
not bad but its a low figure count overall...you could get swamped most other armies...41 troopers...i have a 1750 SM list with 56 troopers in it...

It's a bit of everything, not really focussed, semi-competitive. Three Tacticals and two Rhinos.
Attack Bikes should be taken in squadrons; kill point issues.

I don't think so, the Thunderfire can be pretty useful. It's served me well recently.
