Right, seeing as how my Savage Orcs are very nearly at the Magic 2,000 mark, I now turn my fevered mind to the next 1,000 points, which no longer needs to be entirely Frenzied.

One thing I do want to add, especially for large games where I cannot afford to give enemy Cavalry and that a free reign, is Artillery. Having only used up 2 Special Slots so far, I'm considering dropping in a bargainous 3 Rock Lobbers.

And this is where the advice comes in. They won't be Rock Lobbers per se, so much as 'Nutta Chukkas' launching particularly unhinged Boyz through the air into the enemy, neatly eliminating the need for an all too boring headlong charge across the open field....

Current plans? Very basic conversion of the Lobba, replacing the Rock ammo with a Savage Orc Boy, converted from a Boarboy Body (to get the splayed out look) with a replacement right arm (not sure which one to use just yet). The other option is for a purely Troll powered Lobba, made from a single Troll with the chassis of a Boar Chariot as the launching section, again with a Boy loaded and ready to go.

So, those are two possibilities. However because the rest of the army is so themed, I am looking to add some variety in the next points expansion to break up the monotony of look, as well as modelling.

So, mainly after a suggestion for a third conversion, and receptive to additional ideas. One I had whilst typing is to have a Troll lobbing shovel loads of Snotlings...

going with the Savage theme, your orcs will look down on machinery, so the lobbers should be as low-tech as possible, not even including wheels if possible.

- a lobber-sized troll (or small giant) with big arms who literally throws orcs/rocks?

- a very primitive catapult, e.g. a springy tree branch, tied into a frame carried by a horde of sweating goblins or a smaller number of orcs?

- a large angry captured flying creature - the orc 'ammo' holds on to the creature's legs then the creature is released

a mega-frog who spits ammo at the enemy

I love the idea of this giant ogre just throwing the boyz at people...
Or a giant ogre punting them across the field.

You could go for some sort of odd ewok approach... Like have orks running off of ramps with crafted wings made from wood and leaves carrying rocks....and dropping them onto some 'umie heads.

I don't see them so much looking down on Machinery, as pinching it off the Gobbos and wrecking it in short order!

Sadly I'll only be using Forest Gobbo Spider Riders in the next block, so no Fanatics for me!
