They're from the Siege of Vraks book by Forge World. If I remember right, the Assault Drill does extra damage to structures/vehicles. The Inferno Cannon is a high powered flamer, I think. I only glanced at the book, never bothered to buy it :(

The Assault Drill is basically a DCCW that gives you a Heavy Flamer attack against the occupants of a bulding if you penetrate the building.
The Inferno Cannon is, sadly and criminally, no longer an Inferno Cannon but is instead the lame and even more lamely named 'Flamestorm' Cannon from the new Marine 'Dex.
It's ok I 'spose. JJ's no doubt going to nerf the Inferno Cannon back to Range: Template in the new Guard 'Dex, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

wait you sound like you dont like the new flamestorm cannon. that thing is a SM killer!(as well as everything else for that matter) and on the redeemer there is one on each side of the tank. so you can cut in between squads and make marine cole slaw. i do agree tho the name is a tad bit lame. i liked the inferno name better

I'll take a 24" ranged flamer that virtually never misses over the Flamestorm Cannon. Sure, in the current environment an AP3 flamer is a nice thing - no doubts there - but the Inferno Cannon is such a wonderful weapon.
If the Flamestorm Cannon had a 12" range, maybe, but otherwise no. I understand why they changed it to a Flamestorm Cannon (plus it's more copypasta work for Warrick - he loves that!), but the Inferno Cannon was so much fun.

They should make the Inferno cannon use the Apocalypse flamer template. That would be on.

yeah, it would be soo good, but your opponets would nevr stop complainig. and it would also have weak stats, as a str 6, ap3 apoc flamer would be soo broken and cost like 550 point, but in apoc no one care about point cost, as long as you have enough.
