When SHawks DS they drop template.. what happens if they put it on any tau unit with stealth (sniper teams\stealth suits)?
Do they still need roll for a stealth - to check see Hawks them or not, or as i think tau stealth doesnt work vs Swooping Hawks gren. pack?

I'd say nothing. Just treat it as any Guess Range weapon, as you can put the template where you please. If your opponent gets arsey, just explain when it is meant to be dropped (during their deepstrike) and explain they came from one point, flew over (thus able to spot them even at minimum distance) and BOMBS AWAY! then.

If it follows "normal rules for a shooting attack" they should check range.

From the codex it states: "It may place a single large blast marker centered on an enemy model anywhere on the table and roll a scatter dice." From the looks of it it doesn't seem to check range or require LOS. Just place it and scatter 1d6.
