I'm sure it's awesome.
I don't have a high level wow character, so it's not really on the radar for me at all.

It's actually pretty fun. The story quests are much, much, much more involved than the Burning Crusade ones. My Rogue's 73, and so far...I've seen five or six huge quests that KEEP going to 80.

It's absolutely terrible. Once you've killed the Lich King, what otherworldly villans are there? The Burning Legion is destroyed, so what now?
And Death K-Nig-Its have broken the game. Anything the other classes can do, they can do better.

i cry BS on this. my pally will smash my death knight at equal level and the pally kills things faster.
the one thing that the DK has going for him is his neat factor. the mount is hella cool, his spells are hella cool. he has almost no downtime(same as my pally)
the DK cant heal others, cant buff, can kinda heal himself in a half assed sorta way and cant do a bunch of stuff so to say they can do everything is crap.
@Malfred - i've read somewhere that the restrictions are launch restrictions and will be lifted after it is in circulation for awhile.
the one thing that i'm disappointed by the most is the fact that they look really awesome at 58 when they go out into the regular game world however as you level you need to upgrade gear and you lose your unique death knight look... you become a regular melee looking type.
i still cant believe they havent introduced a dye system yet so you can change the color of your gear. thats probably the only thing i miss from my EQ days.

Regardless, it's still killed the series. Blizzard are TRYING to end the Warcraft franchise, I swear.

Really its not hard to fix. They will just do what they did to get a warcraft 2, warcraft 2 expansion, and a warcraft 3 game.
They will simply add a new continent (or realm) with a new threat like they did for each of the above titles. They have a whole universe to play with. Don't forget those blue lugs that people play now in WoW came from a spaceship. Hey I know how about next WoW expansion everyone can hope on the rebuilt rocketship and fly to that planet to duke it out their against more daemon threats!!!! yeah!!!

They were also all in the beta, and get paid to play.
Of course they do that crap.
Anyways, on Death Knights...
They're fun. They're alot less broken than talked about in this thread, when compared to other classes at the moment.
On Arthas: I don't know if you *actually* kill him. It's entirely possible that he lives to fight another day, or that the next expansion will be the Emerald Dream or The Infinite Dragonflight centric. Both of those are big threats at the moment.

I am really enjoying the new content, some of the new areas have been excellent and with much more interesting quests.
The Death Knight creation arc for example is possibly the best quest line done by blizz.
I also agree about the Death Knights losing a bit of character as they lvl past about 64-65 and their gear is replaced with Outland stuff. However I am assuming their tier 5/6 and pvp sets will more than make up for this at Lvl 80.
I have seen a few disturbing things though which I think will lead to some DK nerfs in the future, like a Lvl 62 DK beating a Lvl 68 Druid three times in a row before the Druid gave up. Thats a little worrying, but could be down to player factor.
But aye, other than that really good expansion, I'm especially loving the new style in weapon/armour design, always prefered a more fantasy element to my MMO's. Outland although fun was a little too much Sci-fi in its nature.

Just to get some things straight:
Burning Legion is not dead (you don't even "kill" Kil'jaeden you just prevent his summoning)
Death Knights are the new "ohh pretty class" right now (much like pallies for horde and shamans for ally when BC came out)
I'll agree that the quest stories are much better this time around. It's fun to get the back story and know how the zone got into it's particular predicament.
There is plenty of more content for Blizzard to go through, we still have the blue dragonflight that is extremely prevalent, and the bugs from the old world (drawing a blank right now).
Overall impression of WotLK, it's fun might draw in a couple of new players that have managed to fend off the game so far, but other than that it's just like WoW pt 3.

Because it's got new stuff, and most people don't realize that you can't actually do most of it until after you hit 80 which you have to ... level to do.

You have to be 68 to get any of the quests, much like Outlands where you had to be 58 to get there (without Mage help)

2.8 million copies sold in the first 24 hours of release isn't too shabby
I'm having fun on my Feral Druid (which I leveled from 10-70 as Resto... /sigh).
As for the Death Knights, I don't think that the class is overpowered, but the fact that they start at lvl 55 does mean that I take pleasure in ganking each ally DK I come across

I'm at level 72 now. WOTLK is really fun though. NEw talent builds seem really cool, and the gear mechanic changes seem to be a big improvement. Graphics are beautiful.
Really the only negative thing to say was said most humorously here:

Thought I'd raise something is going down today regarding WoW's 4th Anniversary.
Apparently its today, the reason I've raised it is for anyone who hasn't logged lately, or has been thinking about going back.
Today due to the anniversary if you log Blizz Dev team are issuing an automatic 4th Anniversary Achievement, but more important a Blizzard baby Polar Bear pet via the mailbox.
Just thought I'd let folks know, as no one is certain if it is just for today. This is in EU, but I would assume the same is happening worldwide.
