Guard Heavy Weapon Crewman

please some help with the list what could be made better or what should totally change.
The tournemant are all three basic missions of book but we have too roll for deployment the main problem is that in every mission Kill points are importent which might hurt a little bit.
doctrines:
grenadiers (storm troopers als troops)
close order drill
HQ:
senior officer power weapon bolt pistol
chimera, multi laser, heavy bolter, extra armour
troops:
platoon 1:
command: hounorifica imperialis, power weapon, carapce armour, bolt pistol, medic
squad 1: lascanon, plasma gun, veteran sergeant with storm bolter
squad 2: lascanon, plasma gun, veteran sergeant with storm bolter
squad 3: heavy bolter, flamer, veteran sergeant with bolter
squad 4: heavy bolter, flamer, veteran sergeant with bolter
armoured fist squad:
missile launcher, melta gun, veteran sergeant with bolter
chimera, multi laser, heavy bolter, extra armour
storm trooper squad: 9 storm troopers+ veteran sergeant+ 2 plasma guns, power sword
chimera, multi laser, heavy bolter, extra armour
storm trooper squad: 9 storm troopers+ veteran sergeant+ 2 melta guns, power sword
chimera, multi laser, heavy bolter, extra armour
Fast attack
hellhound+ extra armour
heavy support
leman russ battle tank 3 heavy bolters, extra armour
leman russ battle tank 3 heavy bolters, extra armour
leman russ demolisher, 2heavy flamer, 1 heavy bolter, extra armour

I have changed some stuff in the list with the changes its like this:

im personally a fan of Iron Disicpline for the Command squads, and not really a fan of the Lascannon in the Normal gaurdsmen Squads, I prefer the Autocannon as a squad level weapon since it has a higher rate of fire and it there wont be as much of a temptation to shoot the Heavy weapon at a tank when there are things that the 7 other dudes with flash lights can shoot

Ditto on the Iron Discipline and autocannons. Use meltas for anti-tank - if you can get em there, they're just plain better.
No need for the medic. Why only a JO in the command squad?

normal HQ is JO because I want to keep them as cheap as possible if it wasnt I have to take them I wouldnt take them
lascanons at least kill tanks at long range autocanons dont
iron dicipline not gonna use normally I do but for this battle I dont and because I think they'll be gone in the new codex I wanna start playing without it

i agree with putting autocannons in line squads over lascannons. yes lascannons have a greater potential to hit high AV armor at long range, but the autocannon is more versatile in the line squads. if you want lascannon teams, i'd recommend adding them as anti-tank squads to your command platoon.
again, its just my opinion. you can take it or leave it as you wish. good luck and dont forget to let us know how it playtests!

How often have you used those Lascannon line squads in 5th? I know they worked in 4th, but given what 5th does to vehicles, I'd be surprised if they were anywhere near as effective.

I agree with HBMC on that, since 5th edition I've yanked all the lascannons from my line squads and use heavy bolters or autocannons with them now. All I'm saying is try it and see if you notice the difference, I'll wager you'll like the improved firepower(more high strength rounds downrange, although not as high as your lascannons I'll grant, but twice as many shots per turn) and versatility.

I have never played 4th with my guard only fith, my lascanons have kille a fair amount of tanks already each game at least 2 (if my openent has any of course)

yes you get 3 shots per HB versus 2 shots per AC, but look at the STR and AP difference. That makes the AC more versatile. I still put HB in my line squads, but i pack my command platoon with 2 fire support squads with 3 AC each....and sometimes i'll throw a few more ACs into my line squads instead of their normal HBs.

And are also designed for completely different things.
Autocannons are one of the most consistent and well performing weapons a Guard commander can get. It isn't just a coincidence that Lootas are so good with their R48 S7 guns either.

Line squads basically have two optimal setups.
AC/PG
HB/FL
their roles are focused and points well spent.
I am still a fan of LC antitank squads, as I am too nervous due to Kill Points to seriously embrace suicide meltasquads.
But perhaps my mind will change.
