I take Orion and put him a unit of wild riders. I charge a unit of zombies. I lose the combat by one. The wild riders have to take a break test, but Orion is unbreakable and takes a wound (unless he's with 6" of some trees)

The wild riders fail their break test and flee.

The zombies have a rule called shambling horde, it's bascially instead of doing a persue/flee. A normal unit just fights Orion and can't persue the wild riders. Do the zombies get to attack the wild riders as they flee, and also continue to fight Orion?

I'd say not.

If only a single unit flees, then you cannot pursue as you are still locked in combat.

Shambling Horde is a rule in place of pursuit. Ergo, you must be able to pursue as normal in order to gain any benefit from Shambling Horde.

It hasn't actually happened, just thinking when i was reading the VC's book

I guess a better example i could have given was..... 2 units are attacking the zombies, one flees (even that is unlikely... would have to be 2 units of snotlings with 2 bases each)

And even then they'd give the Zombos a run for their money!

Yes there is, but this is a new GW FAQ that is an acception to that rule. (possibly the only one as far as i know)

Ah, i don't fight many Wood elves, and none that have Orion, so I wouldn't know that.
