Toronto, Ontario, Canada, eh?

A friend of mine who is much more into forge world products that I am recently got hold of a few rumors which I will share with you now.

The Traitor list in Siege of Varks 3 will include Zombies. Spesificlu, these will be Plauge Zombies which will start at 3 points a peace, have a standard human's stats, but come with Slow & Purposful, and Feel no pain. They will also likly be upgradable to have fleet for a price. There is supposedly a thrid option as well, though I don't recal what it was. He discribed it as "alot like left for dead." Apperently the Zombie squads will have an upper limit of 50 bodies.

There will also be Plauge Ogryn, which we already know about, but which we don't know their rules. According to him, they will look like standard Ogryan, but with T5, Feel no pain and a D6 attacks like a spawn. They will likly be 40 points a pop.

If anyone can add to this, please do. I am very eager for the Nugel list, and can't wait for the forces of the plauge god to arrive in cult form.

My appologies if this has been brought up before, and I just missed it.

Ad Homonym is not a valid debate tactic, stupid!

My biggest wish for IA7 is that it's the last Vraks book we have to endure. I really enjoyed IA5, and I liked IA6 (even if it was a little thin from a rules persective, and mostly a book made simply to show off the Reaver), but I want this story over so we can get onto more exciting things - a campaign book for Eldar, Orks and, hopefully, an eventual AdMech book.

I'm going to have to agree on this, and I suspect this really is the last iteration of Vraks. For their next trick, I hope FW would do something with Eldar or Necrons.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

AdMech vs. Genestealer cult, two birds with one stone.

3 pts for a FNP S&P Guardsman? That's actually pretty fair. And apparently, 30 Days / 30 Nights has been seen, so that's cool, too.

T5 Ad6 FNP Ogryn? OK, so far, so good. That's pretty much what an Ogryn *should* be, with A3-4 to keep attack parity straight.

But 40 points?

40 points?!?

For the same Elite Assault role, I can get a SM TH&SS Assault Terminator for 40 pts, a BA pLC Terminator for 34 pts, and a Chaos tB&PW Terminator for 30 pts. 40 pts of Ogryns just can't compete with any of those.

At least the FW Plague Ogryns will make for pretty resin shelf ornaments.

But why would the AdMech be fighitng... ah who cares!?!?! It'd be too awesome.

But resin Hybrids... uuhh... and Brood Brothers (you know they'd do it too, kind've like the Renegade conversion kits). So expensive...

I'm betting that's orks will be featured in the next series of Forgeworld books, given the recent forgeworld nob bikers and warboss and then they had mentioned doing orks something like two years ago, but that got pushed back when the ork codex didn't come out on time. I'm a big ork fan, so this could be just wishful thinking . . .

They already have that Ork Flak Wagon upgrade kit they featured at UKGD08. Nice model. But hopefully not priced to closely to their other resent Ork ventures.

I'm gonna turn all my old gorkamorka trukks into "dakka trukks", basically an upgunned version of a warbuggy, with between three and five heavy weapons on it.

they wont be twin linked, but they will be fun!!

but yeah, I want to see an imperial armour book that's worth buying, not just one filled with specialist lists.

Well who's to say what their next campaign will be. It could always involve chaos in a less major role. Such as if they were to do a campaign that went along with the Dark Eldar, and threw in an alliance with Chaos. Oh wait you don't believe in Dark Eldar.

Oh, I believe in Dark Eldar.

I just don't believe that GW is actually working on their revival.

At least, not until something concrete appears.

Heck, GW hasn't even done anything for them in Apoc, so you know GW has no love for the spiky Eldars.

Seeing as how Forge World has gone from doing just collections of vehicles/artillery/aircraft/whatever strikes their fancy to 'historical' campaigns...
We might see a Tallarn/Eldar match-up, or a new Armageddon campaign book or who knows.

But I wouldn't hold my breath, as Imperium versus Chaos is the biggest, most iconic match-up it seems.

This is all speculation on my part, mind. It'd still be cool either way.
I'd love to see Farsight's campaign against the Orks published, or the Eldar campaign against the Necrons pre-Fall.

Oh dear god, you're right. FW must be expecting to make a ton off the people who decides to buy even a single 50 model zombie horde. If you're lucky it'd be a $250 dollar unit. If we're luckier, maybe it'll just be a conversion bit set.

Eldar vs Necrons?

Thing is, there was and is a real niche for Chaos, especially renegade chaos. I would expect something like Imperial vs Orks. With maybe Deathwatch.

Two or three cool libbies and posable Space Marine Captains would be nice.

Iconic?

1. Eldar vs 'Crons (pre-Fall)
2. Guard vs Guard
3. Guard vs Orks
4. Guard vs 'Nids

After that, things get pretty rare.

Time for Armaggedon to get done once and for all with some posable Steel Legion stuff.

That, and a cool Inquisition Psyker-war. Inquisition/ Imperial vs Genestealers/ Tzeentch and Nurgle.

Armaggedon finishing would be great...bring it on!! I know they need to keep their threads open, but some conclusion would be great!!

Could it be a plot of GW's to combine a re-release of steel legion with the rumours of those tech-magi people?? skittari and all that.

thats what I want the next imperial armour to be about!

Zombies could be done as conversion packs for an existing model kit.

As for future line ups: they will always feature the Imperium in one corner facing off against something else. Main reasoning is that the Imperium is the biggest faction that the reader can relate to. And the books have the title Imperial Armour, so go figure.

I'd just like them to do a two-part book series that sees the Imperium vs Eldar, and then the Orks show up and the Eldar have to side with the Imperium to fight off the Waaaagh!

Yes, structurally it's been done before, but as the idea is to showcase FW models, and there are been no books that do that for Eldar and Orks yet, that would be the good way to do it.

You could have you standard 'Imperium' section in each with new rules for whatever Guard tank they've come up with this week, and then detailed sections of Falcons, Wave Serpents, Warwalkers, Fire Prisms, all the way up to Revenant Titans and Vampire Raiders. Then the Ork one is similar, with all the Ork stuff they've released over the years (BattleForces, Gunwagons, etc.). If they do it after the plastic Stompa release it'll be even better, as then they can include Titans from all three races.

After re-reading the story of IA6 zombies aren't that far off as the story section of the book ends with the tidbit of sentries seeing the dead rise again. We'll know around 2010 for sure.

Actually the idea of a "Pre-Fall" Eldar v. necron codex sounds intriguing. Fluffwise it could revolve around a probe by the Eldar upon a known tombworld, to see if they can take out the ancient terror. If successful it would lead to eldar war on the sleeping worlds, but the “reaction” explains why the let the sleeping Ctan lie as it were. Have the reaction grow to the extent it culminates in a massive fluff space and land battle, with a super heavy esque avatar leading the fight against a Ctan or uber necron lord. After the battle, the Blackstone fortresses are built…

Give some flair and give a taste of the power of the eldar and necrons at their prime. None of this wussy “they are dying off stuff.” The eldar had 65 million years to get their act together-show some nifty stuff that only Dark Age Imperium and Necrons at their zenith could match. It would be an excellent portal into what the eldar were, and how far they have fallen.

*New vehicles: eldar super heavies: wraith tanks, super heavy warp based artillery.
*Armagedon-uber avatar or wraithtitans.
*Troops-new aspects. Potentially bringing up some of the aspects mentioned earlier (yes I believe most of the aspects were created after the Fall but when has that stopped GW-mayhaps proto aspects). I could see some sort of aspect specializing in necron conflict.
*warp based attacks. Mayhaps linking in similar manner to DE opening warp ways and attacking.

Necrons:
*Necron pylons, monoliths
*Cart in some Epic stuff and float it: obelisks and harvester super heavies. Mayhaps a type of aenic orb. After all nothing says loving like someone hurling a piece of a star at you.
*Epic scale Ctan super MC to do battle with the biggie sized avatar.

@Fraz, that's pretty much exactly what I was hinting at. Nice job running with the ball.

Eldar-wise, I'd love to see this include Zandros, just so we can finally see the Slicing Orbs of Zandros (please, let these be Jump Infantry with Lightning Claws)!

As for Warp Weapons, I'd love to see a Singularity projector, something that Deep Strikes Vortex Grenades.

I really doubt we'll ever see an 'Imperial' Armour book without the Imperium being involved somehow, even if it's just an Inquisitor watching a war between the Eldar and the Necrons.

Indeed, otherwise it wouldn't be Imperial Armour. Ten to one the next book will be about either Orks or Eldar pitted against a new resin Guard regiment. Maybe all three but hopefully not in the "hump-a-xeno" way of the Eldar teaming up with the Imperials. How about the good old "Eldar are a bunch of scheming dicks and they set us up in a fight with these here orks" angle.

I like HBMC's idea of starting off Imperium vs. Eldar and then the Orks/Tyranids/Necrons show up and the two are forced to team up. Like the Tallarn fluff from back in the day.
