Well, I decided to make another thread in this sub to split stuff a bit. I´ll cross connect the stuff and post all pictures I will make here and just grab the finished ones for my Blob.
Where I want to use my Blog mostly for the backround of the army, the models I wanna use and such stuff here´s a place to really discuss the paintjobs, asking questions - if there are some, and all those painting related stuff. I also will update thise thread more often with more WIPs and try to show less pics in the other thread. It´s not really meant to get spammed by WIPs I thought.

Blog can be found here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/223514.page

Ok, here we go with da pics and some words about them.

In the first picture I´ve posted there more or less just skin to see. It´s close to be finished on the pics and finished on my table.
I used a black and white combo to undercoat my minis and worked up from there. Except the metallics everything is and will be painted with oil colours. I love painting with oil as much as I hate it. I love it because I can paint wet in wet much better than I can with acrylics. Plus I can make really, really smooth transitions with small differences here and there. And all that without much problems. I hate painting with oil because it needs a lot of time for each painting session. For example, the BigMek Skin took me 5hours. I wasnt able to do anything in those 5h besides smoking a ciggy, drinking something and work on some other minis basecoat stuff. Because if I wait too long I cant paint my style and if I wait not long enough everything can be stripped again. Took me a couple of minis to figure out how I can paint acceptable with oil but now m happy.
The metallics are default metallic colours. The shadows and stuff is oil again and I tend to add some "artist chalk" to get my ol´n dirty look plus the rusty effect. It´s not finished on the Burna Kommando but close to be so. Just need to eliminate some mistakes and set some hightlights here and there.
Oh, checkers ... those black checkered stuff freakz me out! I mean, I´ve made a dozen freehands not everyone a great one and not everyone a difficult one but well, I made a lot but those checkers .... I went back to plastic card and wire now to train checkers hard. I never ever thought I would have such trouble with that gak (yeah I know Mr. Spellchecker). I guess when I have finished my 1750Pts Goffs I will be UBAR 1337 in painting checkers.
