Ghazghkull , my favourite Ork ever. His stats for those who don't know,

I want to know your opinion on him though. Even non-Ork players.

I think it's fine. "You make da call" means you decide whether he's good or not. Anyway, I put him over here so non Orky players know about him and decide if he's better than Marneus Calgar... or Eldrad Ulthuan... .

he's great... also he's cheaper then calga by 40pts (when he puts on his terminator armour)... only down sided is he's Slow and Purposeful (mega armour)... he is a CC king

so would he win a fight wilth calga ... no since calgar would just stay +19" away and fire his Range 24" Str4 AP2 assault 2 bolter at you

Eldrad? yes but again he'd have to get in CC with him and i don't see eldrad wanting that so good luck gettng him in CC

The statistical advantages of one uber-character versus another are obvious to anybody who graduated from high school, but the dice have been known to let many a player down who was depending on a single model to win the game for them. By the way, put Ghaz in a battlewaggon and S&P is not an issue.

Yeh but he's only a point stink in low point games.

How much does he cost point-wise?

He's one of those annoying special characters that all ork players i know field about 1000 points because there is no reason to use a regular warboss when ghaz us so much better even if a bit more expensive. Special characters should be niche options that are cool but not better than generic HQs. Ghaz is just better in every way that counts, including point efficiency.

I feel like Gaz is a bit of overkill. Like Abaddon, he is way too powerful. Not in an unfair sort of way, just in a Holy **** sort of way. It seems to me like he is best reserved for Apoc games.

The best way to use the mag uruk thraka is in a way that would justify his legend-ness!!

I'm working on a big conversion, then i'll put him in a nice new battlewagon packed with boyz!!

Then he'll be like an ardvark charging across the plains of battle, screaming for joy and rowdiness.

Even though I own the ghazzie model (just because I liked the look of it) I have never used him in a game.
over the years I have built several warbosses and I always find myself using one of them rather then Ghaz.
For me I just prefer not to use Uber-characters,same reson I dont use Typhus in my death guard.
But,Ghaz (statisticly) is a Mega Beast and I should probly have my head examined for not using him on occasion.

Can never go wrong with Ghaz.

I for one always expect to see him in all Ork, non Nob Bike lists... He really is that good. Eldar has eldrad... Orks have Ghaz. Thats just how it tis!

I prefer a biker boss and KKF mek for only slightly over the same cost. Gives me mobile hittyness and an excellent support HQ.

Plus you would be a damn gretchin using him without his orkish ´onour guard. But with 3MANz he´s so overkill that there is nothing you wanna bash them into. Not the best way to use him for sure but using him with Boyz or Nobz is not the orkish style. So yes, Apo games FTW. There he can go for Titan stompin
But the major problem with Orkies is, all their HQ choices are somewhat awesome ... Ok, Wazdakka is discussable but all others are simply awesome.

My to-be ghazghkull will be himself, one of those new battle wagons and a Mega nob escort, probably of 2-4. The reason is that meganobz cost a lot of money. I only have one.

Ah yes, good ol' Gaz. I use him quite regularly, although he only hits the battle lines in a few battles now- my opponents waste justa bout all there shootiness on killin his BW and 3 MANz, that he hardly ever gets there. But when he does, Oh man. Carnage is an understatement. Ive had him and his 3 MANz kill 10 khorne termies, loosing only 2 wounds in return. Always good.

Keep him in Reserve with 15 Kommandos and Snikrot! That is fun and very disgusting. Ambush is fun!

You can keep ICs in Reserve attached to units. Put him with Snikrot and as per the Ambush rule, you can bring Ghazzie along with them when they come in.

It's fine to use bits of that kind of information to compare and review rules.

Posting the entire statline and rules is over the top though.

so back to the topic...the particular aspects of the character that I most admire are his GIANT KLAWS and his skills with the WWAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!

but in all seriousness, have you seen ghaz in many other poses?? he's a great model and everything...but he's always in that "i'm stomping across the battlefield" pose. I want to change all that!

I myself repositioned his arms, and while the wireing to his Klaw and Shoota didnt match up, it was an easy fix. I just grabed some copper wire and sniped out a bit and connected it and it looked fine. Didnt give him the Iron Gob either.
