Super-heavy company:

-consists of 1-4 squads ( 1-4 vehicles).
-this specific company fields vehicles based on baneblade-chassis.
-for every squad at 3-4 vehicles a ARV can be taken.
-squads can consist of pure or 2-3 different types

Vehicles used (different forgeworlds possible):

  • *Baneblade
    *Stormblade
    *Shadowsword
    *Stormsword
    *Lightblade
    *Firesword
    *Stormhammer
    *Shadowhammer
    *Hellhammer
    *Stormlord
    *Shadowaxe
    *Hydrablade
    *"...." ARV

  • Formation rules:

    a squad of at least 3 vehicles of the same type may use a special rule.
    For all squads does the apoc rule "earth-shaking-move" apply. Any opponent need to roll a 4+ to be able to attack in CC.
    Any tank-shock is done with -2 .

    Pure squads of 3 ... get this:

    1)Squad of 3 Shadowhammers =>

    -all SHT could combine their barrage. Use 1 apoc barrage template in range of all vehicles. Place the 2nd and 3rd template in a
    line , paralell to the Shadowhammers, so first shot is in the middle and 2nd is left / 3rd is right. Template 2 has to share field 2 + 4
    with template 1 and template 3 has to share field 1 + 3 with template 1. Roll to hit and place shots in either of those 3 templates.

    2)Squad of 3 Fireswords =>

    -all SHT combine their flame. Place 2 Hellstorm templates in a line. This section of the table gets Hit in your turn and its effects will
    stay for another turn. Roll a d6 in every turn (opponent + you). At 4+ the fire still burns and the template stay for another turn.
    The "prometium" will hit any model beneath once per turn - so move it or get burned.Moving into the flames will score an autohit.
    Firesword-squads must not stay to supply the fire-its enough fed with prometium already.

    3)Squad of 3 Lightblades =>

    -squad concentrates on target. Lead tank sets "marker-shot", following tanks shoot with BS 4 at the same target.

    4)Squad of 3 Shadowswords =>

    -SHT focus their main weapon. All 3 tanks have a d6 roll to damage vs structure for the 3 volcano cannons.

    5)Squad of 3 Shadowaxe =>

    -there is no cover.When at least 2 shadowaxes focus at one Unit and hit and damage, it takes a 3d6 roll vs pinned.

    6)Squad of 3 Stormblade / 3 Baneblade =>

    -storm / bane-blades may synchronize actions. The stormblade isn't so widespread as a baneblade but both are used to fight
    in "pure" formations. SHT can be deployed indepently and benefits from squad-formation-rules, because their crews are
    trained to this tactic. Storm/bane-blades do not need to keep formation.

    7)Squad of 3 Hellhammer =>

    -their short-range fire will enhance the threat. The "earth-shaking-movement"-rule is upgraded to 5+.

    8)Squad of 3 Stormswords =>

    - this siege tank is used to breach fortifications. In a squad of 3 its capable to level complete segments of a defensive line.
    Any Building/bunker/wood could be cast down by a salvo from the stormswords. Roll a d6, a direct hit will level target at 3+,
    a glancing hit will do at 5+. Remove the terrain and replace with difficult terrain (ruins/craters).

    9)Squad of 3 Stormlord =>

    - mobile fortress. Stormlords may transport units and deploy them. Secured perimeter could be supported by stormlords taking up
    flank and center positions. Their infantry comrades will deny any attack on the front vs rear armor, so a stormlord is always
    hit in CC vs AV at current position, the AV never reduced to 10.

    10)Squad of 3 Hydrablade =>

    - curtain of doom. AA fire in a heavy "rain" of autocannon-bullets will stop any airborne threat. As battery of 3 hydrablades, the
    combined clarity of AA-sensors will increase BS of all Hydrablades in formation to 5 vs flyers.

    11)Squad of 3 stormhammer =>

    - very rare. Linked target sensors will expand the 2x2 main weapons of those 3 stormhammers to score unbelievable precise hits.
    A squad of 3 stormhammers may ignore invul-saves when shooting with their stormhammer-cannons.

    more rules to follow

    Vehicle Organization:

    1x HQ and 2-4 detachments.
    Detachment has 1-4 SHV.
    For any detachment fielding 3+ SHV you could take 1 ARV from support.

    A) Artillery:

    May consist of the following = Shadowsword , Shadowaxe , Shadowhammer , Hydrablade.

    B) Assault:

    May consist of the following = Firesword , Stormhammer , Stormsword , Stormlord .

    C) Tactical:

    May consist of the following = Baneblade , Hellhammer , Ligtblade , Stormblade .

    D) Support:

    May consist of the following = ARV.

    E) HQ:

    May consist of the following = Baneblade .

    SoCal, USA!

    I would look at the GW Apocalypse Leman Russ Company as a baseline:

    Superheavy Company
    1 Command Tank (Stormhammer)
    2-4 Superheavy Detachments of 3 SHV each

    Plan to group the Superheavy Detachments by type:
    3 Tactical (Baneblade / Stormblade PBG / Hellhammer )
    3 Assault (Firesword IC / Stormlord VMB)
    3 Support (ARV, ?)
    3 Artillery (Shadowsword / Hydrablade)

    Something like this, perhaps?

    I think its not too different now ( edited op).

    But still needs some work, like pts and rules.

    Will add: special rule for all pure squads; stats for all non-gw SHV; points on a (IMO) realistic level; wargear options;
