I'm having a problem finding a good online retailer in Europe that offers good shipping deals. My situation is that I'm living in north-central Romania, and the nearest gaming store is a good 500 Km (around 300 miles for those of us that use miles) away in Budapest. I'm working on an infantry horde that I hope to expand to have a large number of walkers, but I'm nearly finished with everything I brought over from the states. The store I've found in Budapest has a good overall selection but not in the way that I can walk in and buy 6 of any box set. I'm looking for a good online retailer that offers anything in the way of free shipping to this region.
Also, if anyone knows of any stores in Romania (I know, I know its a long shot), I'd love to know. I'm dying to play.

Please help out a fellow gamer far away from home to feed his toy soldier addiction!

I'd give WaylandGames a try. Here in Germany, this Britain-based shop has become one of the main sources for gw material because of the good prices, the adequate exchange rate and the fact that the owner seems quite flexible, especially if you order a lot of stuff...

The page does not list Romania yet, but hey, it did not list Germany three months ago and now it's a 10 pound sterling flat shipping fee.

Romania is in the EU since 2007, right? Does DHL deliver there? Then it's probably somewhere from 10 to 20 pounds shipping fee.

I'd give it a try: http://waylandgames.co.uk

Does it need to be European? Can it be English?

English works of course. I don't really care where it comes from, as long as I don't get killed on shipping and the prices are good. Actually right now English is better than anything, because with the dollar vs. the pound, its like a big ole sale for me.

I use these guys:

They've been great for in terms of lower price and a low courier rate in the UK.

But if Wayland games use DHL they may be more likely to deliver to you. So they might be your best bet.

Then let me be the answer to all your prayers.

Maelstrom Games UK.

I live in Australia, and have ordered from these guys numerous times. So have all my friends. They ship for free. Let me say that again - for free. Now you will have to, of course, check to see if they deliver to your part of the world, but otherwise they will deliver for free, always have a discount (that gets better the more you order), and they run periodic sales as well. They will even replace lost packages for no cost (I had an Imperial City box go missing and they sent me a replacement free of charge - and that's not a small item!).

Fantasitic group of people. I would recommend them to anyway.
