The only things I personally am unsure about in this list is the Missile Launchers in the line squads, but they've been working better for me in 5th than Heavy Bolters, and they can double as AV if I really need it. I need the Heavy Weapons Platoons, and they will be vulnerable, but I'm hoping if I position them correctly they will last long enough to do what they need to. That and I just can't seem to find the points to get an HO for my Junior Officer. And the Storm Troopers on foot might not be worth their points, but I need it to make minimum troop, and another Command Squad for a second platoon isn't worth the KPs.
Input of any kind would be greatly appreciated.

You do realise that veterans with melta can drop next to a tank for 75 points, right? Saves you a lot of points on the two AT squads; you could get 3 hardenet vet squads with melta's for those points and have some left over...
Also, one hellhound doens't seem to cut it these days, since it's pretty hard-hitting but only AV12. Consider taking two.

also, if you drop the Bolt pistol, power weapon, and the flamers from the HQ, that's 24 points of bloat that could pin an honorifica on him.

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
....helps pull down the statue immortalising H.B.M.C. in the town square....
I second the others' suggestions, and would add that from personal experience playing IG, if you only bring one Hellhound, you are asking to have it obliterated by the end of turn 1, turn 2 at the very latest. One hellhound is a concentrated fire magnet, 2 or 3 force your opponent to split his fire which means other things live longer, possibly including your hellhounds, or he blows up one and the other 1 or 2 throw down some firey death upon his/her head.
just a thought you might wanna consider. other than that have fun!

Heavily delayed response! So, I cut a Russ for another Hellhound, since they both fit into my list as anti-infantry, which freed up enough points to grab an Honorifica for my JO, and another Stormtrooper.
I know that Hardened Vets are useful in the roll of drop troop suicide units, but I really don't like using them, as it's essentially giving KPs away in some missions, and then it sometimes works, and I just really like Lascannons. Any further input would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you still have flamers in the command squads? Do you really want them that close? Officers do not lend thier leadership when in CC or dead. Flamers, in my experience, have an effective range of "Just got assaulted last turn" inches. The squad ML's, idk... try it, maybe they'll work...

Flammers are ok in platoon HQ, I use them for counter assault. After all, when your squads just died in combat, why do you still need their leadership bubble. The main HQ I would problably leave them out of though.

Conversely, if all your squads just got killed, what is five more soldiers going to accomplish that twenty (or more) couldn't? And counter charge is for RR.

The way I see it is, is that most IG squads die in CC when they get charged, and hopefully they will die on my opponents turn, that means when the next turn comes, I can step up and hit them with the flamers since my command squad will be behind my lines. I think that they, combined with some rapid fire from another squad, could do well against some non super elite CC units.
As much as I would like RR's, I just don't have the points.
I enjoy flamers more than giving them a single mortar and hiding them, or making them suicide Plasma/Melta squads. Though maybe a few grenade launchers could work.
As for the missile launchers, I took them because since 5th they've been doing better anti-infantry wise than Heavy Bolters for me, for a small upgrade in price, and I could use Krak Missiles, if I really needed to hit some armour.
Thanks again for the comments, you've given me a lot to reconsider.

I use a command squad with meltas/plasma for that (depending on my mood and opponent). Bette rrange and will kill the hard stuff. if it can be killed by flamers, it can be killed by lasguns and your regular stuff.

Not quite true; you just don't rate them highly enough . 5 RRs = 55 points... With all the MLs you have lots of decent AT, and a lascannon squad is usually a big KP waiting to happen... Taking two may be going a bit overbroard... In my experience, 6 or 7 RRs will maul most dangerous units if you can keep them safe. Say, behind all those tanks, for example .
As for the missile launchers, I took them because since 5th they've been doing better anti-infantry wise than Heavy Bolters for me, for a small upgrade in price, and I could use Krak Missiles, if I really needed to hit some armour.
Feel the same these days. May have to add some MLs...
Let us know how you do with the list!
