Subject: Question about Razorback and Predator kits

The Razorback is a Rhino with an extra turret, and the Predator is a Rhino with a turret and sponsons.
Do the kits for these vehicles contain the full basic Rhino kit PLUS extra sprues to make the add-ons? Or, do they have a Rhino with some parts taken away that aren't needed for the Razorback/Predator?
In other words, if I bought a Razorback and a Predator, would I be able to make two complete Rhinos and have the upgrade weapons left over?

Do you know for sure?
It makes sense but I've never had a Rhino or Predator.

Yes, it does.
The Razorback and Predator parts are just additional sprues added in.

And this is why you never buy Rhinos, and always buy Razorbacks. Then you just swap the top bits whenever you need one or the other.

good call...enjoy your new transports...
what I always wonder about, is that a Rhino has front armour 11, a predator has front armour 13. but they're exactly the same pieces of plastic on the front!!
I suppose you can just use your imagination though

i think the reason the armor values are different is because uh...... the extra armor.... is uh.... on the INSIDE of the tank. yea thats it....

Actually I like the idea of armour being more than the plating attached to the vehicle's chassis. Take a GW box, like the Space Marine Tactical Squad comes in for example, and try to bend or squish it. Pretty easy eh? Now put the sprues back in, after stripping them of the model bits, and try to bend and squish the box.

Chobham armour is composed of multiple bonded layers of steel, carbon fibre, ceramics and 'stuff' with an internal matrix of hexagonal plates.
Or something.
Anyway, the point is that like your box fill of sprues, it's much tougher than a slab of steel the same thickness.
Plywood works in a similar way.

The apocolypse formation box that had the three vindicators in it was great for this. With a little conversion on the additional front armor plates included with the cannon you get a rhino with extra armor. And for $90, the price of three rhinos! I picked up two boxes so I could make a full vindicator squadron and three reinforced rhinos.
