Ok so I was looking at starting an Imperial Guard army but then I decided I'm not a fan of stationary tanks, so I scrapped that idea. I have played marines for a few years now and I'm looking towards something that is more tactical and requires thinking to actually win a decent percentage of the games.

Now to the real question. I know dark eldar are all about raider squads which is how I am going to play. I want to use reaver jetbikes as well, though I heard they aren't worth there weight points. I was wondering if this was still the case with the +1 to toughness and +1 to strength that applies to them now as per their FAQ?

Supposedly, all-new Dark Eldar are coming out "soon".

But then this has failed to come true several times in the past.

But if the rumor really is true ("this time, it's different"), and you sink time and money into Dark Eldar, then you'll probably feel really stupid for buying the crappy old stuff.

Well perhaps I'm different the I like most of the dark eldar range(vehicles in particular) and I know by "soon" that most likely means 2010 or later >_>. The only models I don't like in the range are the HQ's and warriors. I like the Raiders, Ravagers, Talos, and the bikes alot though. So have to spend money now isnt a big deal. I will just have to buy more infantry later as I wont feel the need to upgrade the vehicles(unless of course they are really good). So i'm set to feel stupid about needing to upgrade the warriors, no problem there! I'm only looking for 1000pt army anyways not much of a money sink (i'd say about $300ish. 2 battleforce boxes, 2 raiders, 1 ravagers and an HQ) I'm not going to do what I did with space marines and buy most of the range. Since I'm only throwing down 300 dollars I will have more then enough money if the entire new DE range is all sorts of awesome and when it comes out a year from now.

As long as you know what you're getting into, it's all good. Go for it!
