Right.. Ive checked the rules & im pretty sure it all works. This kinda idea was the original inspiration for the herioc Cato list (which is inherently flawed and defunct)

hq:

Libarian
+might of the ancients
+gate
+Termie armour & SS (Goes w/ the assualt termies)

Libarian
+Nullzone
+gate
+termie armour & stormbolter (W/ the other lot)
=270
Troops:

10man tac squad
+MM
+Flamer
+Drop pod (+locator beacon)

10man tac squad
+las
+plas
+pod (+locator beacon)

5man tac squad
+Razorback
=580
Elites:

5x Termies
+2xchainfists
+Assualtcannon (or cyclone. Unsure)

6x Assualt termies
+SS/TH

1xIronclad
+Drop (+locator beacon)
=660

=1500

Right. Options are, swap out one of the libarian/termie combos for roughly 380 points worth of stuff. 1 dred & 1 10man tac squad id say. But I like the 2nd libarian. Swap the razorback for scouts (I dont have the spare points as it stands to get a 10man & combat squad it. Cyclone or assualtcannon? Which powers - I think null and might are useful. Might because the IC libarian can strike @ I4 and take out specific threats w/ his str 6 attacks. 2D6 armour pen is always useful. Null is a must, as are both gates. What else is there, instead of might?

Oh.. tac sqaud/s + dred drop in, termies gate forward (with/by libarians) and use the beacons as non-scatter hubs to move up the field quickly. AT is partly ranged, partly CC orientated. Razorback unit tackles weaker, seperated things & primarly goes for land-grab. Possibly keep it in reserves to avoid destruction & go stright for obj.'s

Two Librarians for gating is a bit much. If you place your units correctly, gating one squad should be sufficient.

250+ points on hq in a 1500 point seems somewhat flamboyant. One lib and another full 10man tac + IC/dakka dred is points better spent imo. Id also take fists find the points somehow, presenting zero threat to walkers & heavy cc units is not a good look.

Its hard to protect the lib with only 5/6 bodies, soon as you take casualties its going to be next to impossible to keep him surrounded by friendly bases(ss will help ofc). Avengers pretty mean with a termie unit on the assault.

Being a fresh faced new user, take anything i say with a large helping of salt.

idk why you have a lib in with assault Termies. They can't assault after useing gateway anyway so why is he with them? If they can than I stand corrected, otherwise throw those pts into a sternguard unit, the most effective squad marines have for shooting sh&* to death.

REPENT for tommorrow you DIE!!!!

I'd take one Librarian with Avenger and Gate and a 10 men Termie squad with two heavy flamers.

Yus, its flamboyant..

Assualt termies are either waiting lotsa turns to come in and deepstrike via the normal method of teleporting. You still cant assualt them. Or they can footslog.

So why not footslog them with a libarian who can gate. I never did like the slowness of termies, hence the libs. Also I kinda wanted shooty & HTH ones, cudn pick between so both ^^

Sternguard are great shooty units. Normal termies shoot alot further, more per model at that range & the added h.wep makes up (ever so slightly) for the lack of special issue ammo. Plus their terminators. Also null zone is another libarian power I wanted but seperate from the might & gating lib.

Gating LotD is very good as your turning slow & purposeful into troops that can turbo-boost & count as stationary for shooting. Scatter dice providing...As for two squads well.. yeah.

If you can decided, go both. When the HQ's work well with the squad as a whole or have utility, multiples can be good.

I'd give first Librarian Avenger instead of MotA.
Avenger is really nice when he gates.
Furthermore, a Librarian is not a monster in cc so that MotA is wasted.

Mk, ill give it a go.

Heavy weapons (Or heavy psychic shooting powers) can make use of the relentless rule confered by the terminator specail rule, right?

Right. My Librarian always wears terminator armor incl. storm shield.
