This was a very long project... as I got sidetracked and it took roughly six weeks of getting time in to finish it... but here is my Baneblade... and sorry about the flash. I need to build a setup for photography.

(EDIT: Pictures now linked if you'd like to vote on them in the Gallery)

I have two more super heavies to paint... feel free to offer comments. One is a Hellhammer and the other is a Stormblade (Arkurian Krieg).

6 weeks...6 months. Why rush something if its going to turn out like this!?!?! When I finally get around to getting one of these I pray it looks half as good as yours.

Thanks... I'm a little torn on the semi-extreme highlighting around most of the edges. I had thought about trying to shade that with the darker green... but the hours it would have taken to do so stopped me.

Vey nice, very nice indeed.

I'm currently working on a Hellhammer & whilst I don't highlight each & every rivet / bolt head your own attention to detail is commendable. Good work!

If it's stupid & it works, it's not stupid.

Thanks guys... question for ya...

Considering the tanks will be in the same 'company'... do you think I should keep the two color camo scheme or go with something different for the Hellhammer? I'm on the fence... help decide!

The Hellhammer will be closer to his target,so it could be a different, but related to his comrades, camo scheme for this tank.

If youre sold on cadia scheme, all 3 SHT may look fine with slightly changes. Maybe try to get smaller spaces of the same color?

wil those 3 tanks move as formation (12") or will they be distributed amongst the Guard?

IMO lonely tanks may do well if they keep something from their company (tactical markings,1 color) but a "squad" of SHV could benefit
from a compatible camo-scheme.

I had zero problems with the treads for the super heavies... they are numbered underneath and fit very nicely.... far better than the Chimera and its variants... or the Leman Russ.
