I really don't know why you'd go and spent 47 points on needless upgrades for your Command tank. When's it going to use its HBs? The HK missile even? Track Guards? The Stubber? None of these things worth the points you've paid for them.

Of course, having said that, I don't know where else you could spend 47 points, given it is an Armoured Company.

Question:

Have you used a Thunderbolt before?

no i haven't used a thunderbolt i was thinking about using a vulture instead

also that command tank need to be tough as nails because i have so few units and all the heavy bolters are for lots of infantry and near guarantied number of hits

WHOA! I havent been on in a while but I didnt think I would see H change his avatar.lol
oh, btw I would listen to "EVERYTHING" he tells you. I have read many a post of his. All very knowledgeable.

P.S. I dont suggest a thunderbolt. take off sponsons on all the tanks. all they need are the lascannons.

Lascannons... well... actually kinda yeah.

Odd as it may sound coming from me, an Armoured Company has problems with tanks (Battlecannons are not anti-tank weapons). Hull Lascannons aren't very good, but they are your only choice.

The Thunderbolt, actually, is good AT (2 TL-Acs and a TL Lascannon). Smart bombs for those 'hard to reach places'. The Thunderbolt actually fits with this list.

A Vulture... does not.

I was in black and white. Now I'm in colour. And as soon as I can figure out how to be in 3D, I will be.

first of all that is why i took the vanquisher command tank (st 10 ap 1 roll two dice and take the highest)

second for armored company it is 2 lascannons and 4 autocannons

It's S8, not S10. And it's better than that. It's 2D6+8 added together.

And you should still has Lascannons on the other tanks - if your Vanquisher gets ganked at the start of the game (and it will, every time, without fail) you'll need extra anti-tank firepower. You've got the points for it...

H.B.M.C.'s (not surprisingly) right about the Thunderbolt vs. Vulture. While the lascannons on your tanks are good and your Vanquisher will give you one AT shot a turn, a Thunderbolt gives you a hard-to-hit AT platform that almost guarantees a tank kill each round. That way you can devote your tanks to doing what they should be doing - throwing pie plates.
