Using some of the new FW Nob Bikerz, I created a Wazdakka for my army.

The Trike is the FW one, with an additional Dakka Gun on the side to represent the Assault 4 stats of Wazdakka.

As for the rider, I used one of the FW Nob bodies, Grimgor's head (with a topknot added from the Ork Boyz sprue) and the old Nazdreg power claw.

I created the flaming skulls (which are described as the flaming skulls of a Titan Princeps and crew in Wazdakka's background) by taking some of the Empire Flagellant torches and hollowing them out. I then fit some of the new VC Skeleton heads into the cavity, and puttied in and rescuplted the flames around them. I then mounted them on carbon rods. I added a few chains from the Flagellant sprue for additional detail.

Let me know what you think! I am off to create a custom base for him.

That is supremely brutal. I have to know where you got those flaming skulls.

D'oh! I really need to start reading stuff instead of just looking at the pictures... Those flaming skulls are still awesome, though.

Love the model, Wazdakka is something I plan on doing in the future. I do believe I will use your flaming skull method. I do have a few suggestions if I may be so bold.

Put a hook or something on the bottom of the chains, they look incomplete as they are.

I believe the skull in front of the handlebars could be improved by layering a skull (perhaps creased down the centerline) in the same plane as the horns. It looks to fiddily and unstable the way it is now, though I suppose that if it's painted up as metal it would be OK.

The dakka guns seem unbalanced being all on one side. I don't know if you can manage to put one on each side of the front wheel.

Excellent use of a variety of parts. I especially like the skulls. The center and left side ones are especially good, I can't even see the lines between the greenstuff and plastic!

Thanks for sharing this with us,

Thalor

Thanks for the comments. I think some hooks on the ends of the chains would go nicely.

As for the skull on the handle bars, that is the way the FW model is. I plan on making it just metal cut out into that shape when I paint it, so that will help with the look.

I think Its a fantastic conversion, but to me it looks like those guns should have been modeled 2 on each side, as it is now it looks like the gun should have a sidecar of its own. But otherwise it great. well done to you sir!

The land of cotton.

Very nice. I also went for a Trike for a recent Wazdakka conversion but didn't use any of the Forgeworld parts.

Good job on the flaming skulls.

The reason I went with the over large Dakkaguns on the side is a nod to the old incarnation of Wazzdakka. Back in the day he had a BattleCannon on his bike, so the large, four barreled guns just seem more like that to me! Plus, Orks love oversized guns!

As for Grimgor's head - it is about the size of a 40K Ork Nob head. So it should work on Thraka.

Whoa!

Here's where my age will definitely show - I thought he still had at least some version of the Battlecannon/blast marker type weapon on his bike!

(No moving backwards because of it though!)

He does have a Kustom Mega Blaster in his equipment list. Having not actually played a game with my Orks yet, does that have a template?

I haven't figured out how to model that yet. I may have it on the back of the bike attached to some stowage or something.

See if you can nick the plastic one from the Lootas set. It should be easy to tuck away somewhere or even include amongst the other guns on the bike. One of the Tale of Four Gamers did Wazzdakka in White Dwarf recently, but I don't remember seeing the KMB on his model.

Anyway, great model, especially the flaming skulls. Shows you really read the fluff and looked at the artwork before starting.

That's nice, man. I've seen a lot of Wazdakka conversions and that looks the closest to the fluff and artwork of any that I've seen!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Great conversion
He's big, angry and has a lots of Dakka, just like the should have. The flaming skulls really are nice touch.
The only thing that bothers me is the claw. It looks nice and all, but I think Wazzdakka has more of chainsaw-klaw. But maybe that's just nitpicking

Thanks guys! I scrutinized that drawing of him in the codex long and hard before I started. I just couldn't bring myself to do the power claw with the chainsword blade like the drawing. It just didn't work for me.

I have decided to take a KMB from the Lootas and try to mount it on the handlebars (in the middle with the skull). We'll see how that works out this weekend when I can sit and really work with it.

I am also going to be working on a Scorcha conversion this weekend. I have some ideas based on the the CAD drawing that has floated around from Games Days.
