You have to tell Brother Dave or Lord Avondale, give them a brief background about yourself and they should recruit you if they think you are suitable.

You will most probably not be able to pilot or gun the Land Raider, that will most probably be given to a current battle brother, but you will be able to be a scout when the position becomes available
