Alrite, only one carnifex and its not based around those big guys. Its based on the Psychic scream tyranid psychic power.

Hq:

2X Hive tyrant

+1ws
+1sv
+1str
+toxic miasma
+Barbed strangler
+lashwhip & bonesword
+Psychic scream

=334
Troops:

8x spineguants
+ without number

11x spineguant

11xspineguants

12x hormaguants
+1ws
+1str
+1I

342

Heavy support:

1x Zoanthrope squad (3 models)
A: Psychic scream + synapse, B: Psychic scream + warp blast, C: Psychic scream + warpblast

1x Carnifex
+Barbed strangler sything talons
+1sv

=323
=999

Right so, if I wanted to give you all a battle plan, it would be : Three hubs of synapse, two side Tyrants w/ the 11-thing gaunts & warp blast zoanthrope and a centre collum with the hormaguants, w/o number gaunts & carnifex with the zoanthrope with synapse acting as the centre hub.

With all working well, the other guy will have -5LD penalty. Lots (for what ive got) of pinning weapons & when decent things get into HTH (fairly quickly with the hormaguants), people will start running. Anyone whom is affected by LD anyways. Opinions?

hellhounds will love that list... Hell, anything that can kill the little stuff quickly will own your a$$ badly. The without number gives you one (1) troop choice you can count on; the rest is fodder. My imperial guard would leave you with just your big guys by the end of turn two, and they'll be wounded... While I like the iodea, I think you've gone a bit overboard on it. Not to mention that fearless is the new black, so you'll be paying points for something fairly useless quite alot...

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

Hellhounds.. Good old 24'' range. 2 barbed stranglers will quite easily knock these tanks down. Whirldwinds/basilisks are much better at what you want.

If the hellhound is in range, next turn its getting charged by 12ish hormaguants. Never good to get somthing that close to make use of that 12'' charge..

I doubt you will, infact, kill all those troops. When I get close, your entire army starts getting pinned or fleeing combat. Shoost me all you like but not much has alotta fire past 24''.

Oh alrite, whats got fearless then?

What do you do against orks, other nids, Daemons, Etc.? Leadership is rather unimportant for well over half of the armies out there, While I think in a larger game it might be viable to use this strategy at 1000 points I think you will have a lot of trouble getting units into your 18" range.

you really dont need 2 HQs in a 1000 point game. but i would keep them in this list cause it needs all the help it can get either drop one hq or your heavy supports for more troops if you want this to work otherwise your screwed.
