It wouldn't be that expensive for GW to make (have someone else make) a range of chocolate figures for xmas, maybe one from every codex with a few extras thrown in, with maybe fondant fillings and a small gift....
I could just want my dinner here, but I think it's a fab idea.

You could do a simple SM hollow Marine. The only problem with the idea is it doesn't fit into their business plan, or their market.

Nice Idea,but:
1)Where would the metal bits go?
2)Would it fit together?(No!)
3)How much would it cost?
4)How long for the codex?
5)What upgrades?
6)Will it be milk chocolate for the Imperium and Dark
for Chaos?
7)Can you intermix parts from other chocolates?
8)And lastly,if you eat too much, will you need a blast
template and scatter dice when you go to the loo?

I ran a Weird War II d20 adventure and used Starbursts to represent he 'mook' German Soldiers. You get a kill, you get to eat them. My friends still refer to starbursts as 'Dead Germans.'

For what it is worth, GWUK did do an advent calendar two (three?) years back.
Not really much to report about as the chocolates were generic.
Besides, would you really want a chocolate bald screaming Hurr Marine head? (now a 'chocolate' or whatever the Cadian version of it would be from an appropriate MRE would be funny...)

Seriously, unless they were mass produced by an established candy powerhouse, they would cost more than GW models..
You could buy some foodsafe silicone mold material for about $50 and make your own. If my FLGS hadn't just closed down, I might have just tried it for giggles.
If I could find some edible paint, these would be epic.
