Looking for some feedback...

I bought an old wierdboy as a bit for 2euro but it lacked an arm...
so i used some plasticbitz and greenstuff to fix this... the scale is slightly of but good enough i think...

C&c welcome!

Thanx!

Looks decent enough. I wouldn't stress about it.

I warn you though... You'll probably face an endless supply of "one-armed workout" jokes

It looks like you're handy with green stuff, I wonder if you could sculpt down to the wrist and keep it a bit more symmetrical with the other arm.

I would suggest finding one of the old 2d edition plastic arms and using it. They would more closely match the metal arm on the model. Any Ork player who has been in the game for awhile should have a few lying around. An they already have the half sleeve on them.

Sorry, dont work at all for me.
Find an old one or beef the other one up, but this looks ridiculous.

Swap the left arm as well (maybe for a WHFB spear arm to simplify replacing the staff pole? - naturally you want to save the existing pole top). And 'fatten the legs a little, by adding GS underneath.

But um, why would a weirdboy want a chainsaw? I'd have though lucky bones or a voodoo doll or something equally mystical would be more appropriate...

Why not just work out some bionks for the arm, some plasticard tubes and some sort of klaw on the end would look cool.

Would a goblin's arm be a possibility to match the skinny (just going off what other folks noticed). I think the original skinny metal arm that he's got matches the character pretty well.

It is fine to me you could say it was a freak accident that caused his arm to swell up. For example Wierdboy insert name was fightin some humies at armaggedon when he saw a tank coming towards him he tried to focus his psychic powers on the tank. He blew up the tank but his arm became swollen

No offence Imperial, but that was a terrible explanation.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

True but right now I am really bored so here's a better explanation he was tainted by the power of chaos which turned him into a weirdboy. When he became tainted he slowly began to be mutate starting with his arm. Now as each battle passes he mutates further and further until he is overwelmed by the power of chaos or degenerates from his mutations

I really like how the 2 armed conversion turned out. Not something I would have thought of.
I would have built up the original arm.

But your conversion looks better.

Thanx! Would the fluff of orks these days allow him to have an attack squig?

You hate the old Ork miniatures?!?!?

Huh...

Aside from size/scale issues with today's lot, they were some of the most characterful things GW's ever done...

Anyway, more on point, the 'two arm' conversion is awesome, and shows how some of yesterday's finest can be brought in line with today's stuff!

That is the best Ork model.

I like the older model's pose, but that arm didn't really fit. The "holding my staff horizontally in front of me" pose never really worked for me because it isn't that dynamic. Maybe tilt it so that he appears to be channeling a spell through it?

Edit:Its mostly because the staff top draws attention, but being sideways it actually acts as visual noise instead of complimenting the rest of the model like it did upright.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

I like it a lot, the pose makes sense if he's using the staff to channel his power.

I think he'd look better on a 40mm base, ignoring pedantic rules issues if you'll be playing games with him.

As long as you don't go under his given base he should be alright. Or have they changed that?

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Great work; I agree with Railguns that it cou;d be a little more dynamic, but you've done well. If he was holding it in that postion, but over his head, and it crackled with green energy (I'm thinking fine wire superglued into place and oainted Bilious Green), then we'd have some weirdboy action!

That'd require a resculpt of your current shoulders, of course. Looks great, and definitely unique, either way.

Models use the base supplied with them unless your opponent agrees otherwise. No upping the base size without permission, but most people probably won't mind(if they do, they're playing the wrong game).

Like the model and conversion.

Not the model I expected to see. I have two 2nd ed weirdboyz but had never seen that one.

On the basing subject; The newest Wierdboy has a 40mm base
