It's in our minds, and on our lips... Christmas is over, the build-up over, excitement almost over -- what now?

January is infamously the time when the most Antidepressants are prescribed by they-of-medical-knowledge, have you just hit back on the ground again? I did about 30 Minutes ago, realising (after having to describe to an aged relative that the assembled Chimera I was putting away did not flash lights) that I have 5 days of Training, from 9 -> 1.30 in the afternoon, Boaty style. Not very fun.

So, what's up with you guys now the rush and joy is over?

I and my friends don't celebrate Christmas, but our annual week-long new years' LAN party starts tomorrow. So my rush and joy is only just beginning.

1: Wait for baby to arrive (Due December 30)
2: Cram as much painting and modelling as I can on my O&G and 40k daemons.
3: Study
4: Make sure I don't put any weight on.
5: Back to work Jan 12 after 10 weeks holidays.

I'm gonna have battlewagons to drool over, so for me the rush just keeps going and going!

Exactly,with the Battlewagons coming out in January (along with Nobz and Grots) it's like a second Christmas
Other than that I'll be building & painting my sqaud of killa kanz,trukk & deffdread I got for Christmas,and of course returning to work monday (kind of mixed on that,great to have a job,but meh.)

Christmas was already pretty bleak. 4 out of 6 of my family are unemployed right now and I'm having difficulty getting social welfare. I'm having to move back in with my folks while searching for work. Still, mustn't complain really- there are billions worse off than me.
Hopefully 2009 will suck less than 2008- that year combined a nervous breakdown, the unsatisfactory end of my phd and the break up of my long term, quite lovely girlfriend and myself into one long sucky period, complete with an extended period of unemployment and then a really crappy job which dissapeared a month ago.
2009 has to be better than that. I some ways I cannot believe it's been a year- it feels like I've made absolutely no progress.

Going to the west coast on a 4WD camp for five days with the family and some other folks. Got my mini-painting table already packed and some Chaos Knights and a metal lord to keep me busy. Might have to take some Black Reach Orks too in case I finish. I got a portable DVD player to alleviate the boredom as well as the off-road buggy for laughs.
After that? Hell, I'm stuck at home with my younger sisters all summer until school starts on the 12th of Feburary.
Pretty average summer for me.

Christmas and New Years are basically the only weekdays I get off work. That's all I bloody do. I'm a contractor so I don't get leave, sick days or nothin'. Good riddance to everybody else being happy, I say!

In Japan, New Year is the big holiday so my crash starts on 3rd Jan when I fly back to the UK.

Ahh, I guess I have my shiny new Chimera to drool over. Yes, I know it's only a Chimera, but I popped a Predator turret on it, and it is the sex. It's cooler than the 0 Degree Wind Chill I had to contend with on the Thames this morning :(

Da Boss, hope everything straightens itself out for you. My family have resolved to stick together and work for it in '09, hopefully much better than '08 for us all. Change.

Thanks mate, sorry if that came off as whinging, I had intended it to be a "Well, let's hope for better things next year!" kinda vibe.

Im glad chrismtas is over, means I can go to the shops without being crushed xD

For me, this was pretty much the worst christmas ever, with the exception of the gifts. parents consumed far too much alcohol, and they're screaming at each other while i'm typing. believe it or not, I hope they get divorced soon. then the tension will be over. and I won't/can't be able to come back home again, and have to put up with it. What now? try and make peace with a "friend" who did something completely stupid, after insulting a friend of his who I mistook for another person (she wasn't there, fortunately enough...) and then go home to vancouver on the fourth. then build computer, and begin second semester of university. hopefully in that order.
