i simply hate the plastic flight stands.
i find them overly fragile, ugly, and too limited in length.
has anyone had any experience with alternate methods?
lucite rods?
lengths of brass/steel rod?
i'd prefer something translucent, but if i must go with opaque in the end then i suppose i must...

tiny carbon fiber rods, they are small, black, flexible, and stronger than steel.


in short they rule for flying bases.

That's the last flying unit I did.

I just brass rod everything to a base.

i chop up an old metal coat hanger. cheap as free

Make a frame out of mechano, and have them hang by threads.

yea im with you on that man. i "accidentally" stuck my koptas in a plastic bag and left them under a table so the pegs "accidentally" broke so now i have a "reason" to use something else. personally i think those clear plastic.... THINGS are so lame and frail. I use the metal rod deal. it works rather well anyway
