Happy new year, mates and matettes (if there are any here at Dakka).

Not sure what the new year will bring. You could be lucky if you would have no plans for the future.

Happy new year, and here's hoping your neighbors' fireworks and gunfire were as entertaining as mine were. (Call 911!)

Do you live on my block?
I'd gone to my garage to do some painting and all of a sudden my garage door started thundering and I heard a bunch of explosions. I ran outside and the neighborhood kids had set 2 large boxes of fireworks (1'x1' big boxes) out in the dry vacant lot behind my house and lit them. Needless to say the cops saw and they gave the kids a ticket.

Nope, I live in Kansas City. A few celebratory (Or not...) gunshots are common on the weekends, but at a few points, it seemed like a constant roar!
