whole army was done for the 40k rulebook coming out back june/july (or whenever the devil that was)

Each staff member at the store had 12 hours to paint a 750pt army.... I got abit carried away

3000pts later... and only 13 hours (the extra hour was because of the little objective markers)

*edit*
They finally came home this week from the work cab. and got put in my own one- so i could also take pictures

The bit stuck on the side of England. Wales isn't it.

Wow , someone finished an army. Its cool so far , a nice urban camo scheme. Looks like the black wash/dip was given a beating. Are you keeping this army for yourself then? I understand a new guard codex is coming out soon which means you will need more stuff , an army is never really finished. lol

Very nice. Even nicer considering you pained EVERYTHING in 13 hours....

Looks quite good, especially for 13 hours of work. I'm lucky to get one dude finished in that amount of time. Do you have any interesting speed techniques?

The key was a nice easy colour scheme (Big brush whole model astro grey, pick out details in boltgun, adeptus grey and charadon- heavy black wash, tallarn flesh skin, sepia wash skin) Then all of the bases at once

I should really go back and tidy some of it at somepoint- missed bits, messy bits- oh and the eyes...i always seem to forget them when speed painting.

The whole project was done as kind of a friendly competition between the staff- our boss gave us a squad box set of our choice to get started and we all went for it- The boss' eldar army is VERY pretty, though he did go alot over the 12 hours and has since expanded the army.

Next for me is a tank company and 3 baneblades, as well as another hellhound and a squad of converted harden vets

I'm tempted to add another full infantry company to it as well- just a few other armies to work on first

Awesome man! I always love seeing me some guard! Like everyone else, I'm amazed at how quickly you did these. I doubt I could even assemble that many units in the time it took you to complete them.

Excellent work!

Heresy and lies! A Guard army is never finished.

I mean, for starters, the plastic Valk's out in 5 months time.

And the command console thing is ace. So stealing that idea. Great work for 12 (or 13!) hours. Puts me to shame...

The command console is dead easy- searchlight + piece of track guard + comm pack + 2x mortar stands + any other gubbins lying around.

Next task for me is finishing off my night gobbos (theres pics round here somewhere) all thats left on them is the bases- and they've been a lot more work (4 months on and off :( )
