What's the rules with DoW now days??
None of the new books have them as a rare slot (possibly dwarfs were last, not sure)
Can you still take them? I've looked on the GW website and there's no rules/ lists for them any more

I thought GW stated somewhere that they stopped putting the slot in the army lists because the Dogs of War units stated n their own rules who could use them and what slot they took up. I know it is just smoke screen until they are squatted away, but I think they are still usable till that day comes...

GW's statement was they're taking it out because if they release a DoW army, it would contain how DoW units would be used in other armies, like it does in the Ogres book, and you could still use the rules presented in the PDF with opponents consent.

Again, as the PDF's aren't available anymore, you'd be hard pressed to play them even outside of tournaments(not that I myself would deny anyone playing them, I love non-conventional lists).

You can still download them from the Austrailia/ New Zealand GW website - it hasn't been perverted yet :

Good to know. However, far from helpful for newer players/people who don't know to check a version of a website not from their own country(which is probably most players).

And the survey says: XX
Not only is it helpful, it answers the OP's question as to where DOW went - a website far, far away - one that GW has forgotten obviously (which is why the new releases "preview" pictures are from the Apocalypse release).
Unless you're trying to say that my obliterating the sheer ignorance displayed isn't helpful - to which I'd have to say that's nonsense. Ignorance stopped being beneficial in Genesis.

I wasn't saying it wasn't helpful to this thread, I said it wasn't helpful for newer players and those who don't know to go to GW sites other than their own country's. This isn't through a fault of yours or mine, but GW's. My point was that it would a gamble to show up to a store and expect everyone(occasionally anyone) there to have either seen the PDF before or know to go to the Oz site(no one at my store knew it was there and all assumed the army was no longer legal as it wasn't readily available).

No, NOW the survey says: XXX. You made a blanket statement that my information was "far from helpful for newer players/people who don't know to check a version of a website not from their own country(which is probably most players)" because you didn't get the joke.
Maybe if you'd said "wow, that's good to know, we should share this with the world" instead, you wouldn't've EPIC FAILED. But you did, and a lesson can be learned here - don't EPIC FAIL.

If the "joke" was about how bad GW's new layout was, it was definitely EPIC FAIL.

Oh for goodness sake knock it off.
PDFs still available. This is good. If not, a Newb is unlikely to ask as they are relatively obscure anyways. And if they do, they will ask the Interwebs and be suitably directed, either for the free download, or when thats gone, Ebay for the relevant annuals. Problem solved.
