Got the nob box today.. have not yet seen online pictures of the actual sprues.. seen GW painted bits, but not actually on the sprue. So, grabbed the camera.. and here you all go. One thing I have noticed.. unlike GW webpage on the Nobz, these did NOT come with 40mm round bases, and there is not really a Painboy upgrade, unless you like your Painboy Bionik..

Otherwise very cool. One box for me I think + Black Reach Nobz/ bits.

The power klaws seem a little underwhelming; I was expecting something like the huge one the BR Warboss has. The big choppas, on the other hand, are epic win. It should take a lot of time out of modelling.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

These guys are win right out of the box. I love to convert, but I am building my first set standard like the box, this is my favorite kit so far. The trouble is, I don't use Nobz I like Meganobz....

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

There is that much variety there, the loss of a join at the waist isn't really needed.
And you can always cut one yourself if you are a half way decent greenstuffer.

I'm happy with the box I picked up, I wish they included a few shootas without the kombi weapon or a few twin linked shootas. It'd be nice if the torso and legs were seperate.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

not to be blunt but how hard is it to make a twin-linked shoota .

Actually, against MEqs. TEqs and the like, big choppas are actually less effective then sluggas and choppas. Unless you're fighting things with high T, or more armour then powerklaws should be able to handle, you'll inflict more wounds with the extra attacks.

I think the original post referred to the bits, which are wonderful, and not to the game value of said items.

But the actual kit is looking really fine, shame that the doc bits are missing though.

Dave Taylor said there were Flash Git bitz in the box, so there must be a sprue missing.

I've bought the box set too and there are no Flash Gitz parts per se. He was probably refering to the Kombi-weapon options, which could be used to make Flash Gitz for the timebeing. I think the sprue would be easily adaptable for a Flash Gitz release in the future.

I like that they've put an emphasis on Big Choppas rather than Power Klaws. PK Nobz belong in tournaments, not everyday games.

Well, really they belong wherever and whenever you want them, but point taken, especially as the Big Choppas look really, really nice!

The weapons in this box have uses far beyond orks, too. Lots of good stuff for Fantasy and 40k Chaos (esp. Khorne).

I might have to pick some up.

As already commented above, yes. Some very minor trimming may be required to removed the joining pins from the AOBR models.
