Not sure how new this is but I just learned of it. Sabol has a new Combat Mat out. Basically a huge photo. Seems like a cool idea. I hope they do a forest one.

There could be an interesting business here, to take custom photos and apply them to a large mat.

while it looks really good, I would rather spend the same amount on the zuzzy battle mats that actually have texture to them and what not.

I like it. $65 is pretty pricey, but I don't have to worry about flocking falling off or it creasing badly (according to them). f they make a "Grass Field" version I'd be all over it.

It looks pretty good, actually, but now I'm curious about that walker vehicle that was in the picture.

That, I believe, is one of the many new vehicle that only appeared on screen for about 6 seconds in Star Wars Episode III.

The walker is an All Terrain Attack Pod (AT-AP. The third leg deploys for stability when firing the big gun) from ep3.

There is a plastic model of it, as well as a Lego version. The plastic kit stands around 6-7" tall (approx 1/72) for convenience of manufacture.

I agree, Zuzzy mats are much superior to these.
