I like this

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

A nomination for the worst cover of all time:

My favourite song. Ruined. By James T. Kirk.

The worst bit is the mockney accent in the chorus. And everything else about it.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one and they all stink.

This, however, is so sick make a wish foundation want to sponsor it! (not really...)

Sex Machine or Common People?

I actually think that version of Sex Machine's top stuff, it's just SO wrong, it's right. Completely takes a sledgehammer to the original.

But the Shatner version is better than the original. It's been scientifically proven. By boffins. With, like, pens and charts and stuff. In fact that whole album is 101% pure win.Seriously.

Don't make me set the Shatnerits on you ! The OTS (One True Shatner) will not look kindly upon your follish ways. And don't mess with us for we are legion!

At topic .... saw them play this live, even has dinner with them Napalm Death language warning !

I can't think of a cover that was better than the original.

On that subject, can one of you gun-toting yanks please shoot kid-rock? Before he kills again.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I submit that the last one is FAR better than the original.

I think this one goes without saying

Another classic cover version (was originally a folk song)

A great blues song by Fleetwood Mac turned into a fantastic metal classic!

Not a Beatles original. But they sure made it there own.

Hearing Metallica sing this got me to discover one of my now favorite punk bands ever.

Another great Metal reworking

A classic song covered by the Foo Fighters
