I'm highly considering, picking up some ultra forge daemons, but am not positive on the when and where you can use them.
I'm sure any friendly game you can use them, but what about in a tournament setting.
does anyone know of seeing them at tourneys?

It depends on the tournament organizers. Best thing to do is to contact
the people who organize tournaments in your area.
Best guess: If you play at a Battle Bunker or other GW owned venue, then no.

Don't expect to be able to use them at a National event such as Adepticon or anything run by GW('Ard Boyz/GTs). If you want one, pretty much expect to only be using them in friendly/pickup/local games at non-GW owned stores.

Is that your model Taco_bat?
I love their model range, cheap prices, excellent sculpts, and they fix problems in the resin.
I just am short on change, and was wondering how far I could stretch the ultraforge models

yup
So far Ihave the plague lord and the greater war demon.
Both had minimal defects (a relief after years of forgeworld fudgeups) and just seem to reak 40k more so than alot of their GW counterparts. I cant wait for the lord of chan er Vrock, greater pleasure daemon and greater plague demon

Do you use you Ultraforge mini's in games often, I bet they turn heads.
How big is the Wardemon, could it pass for a daemon price or is to be. More Bloodthister size.

I don't know if GW, as a rule, co-opts sculptors and their creations in favor of their own. In
order to maintain GW marketing superiority, they sell models produced under their
studio system. So if the Ultraforge team were hired by GW, they'd produce new sculpts
rather than add their existing ones to the collection.

As has been said, if you are playing at an actual GW store, they likely won't be.
Most independents don't care, and many non- GW 40k tournaments won't mind, but check it out with organizers first.
Technically there's nothing illegal about using non- GW models according to the rules, just GW store policies.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |
