I'd take 2x10 Plague Bearers for scoring purpuses and add another troop unit like Horrors.

You seem to hide behind your big monsters.

My list has been looking more and more like this.

I do think you are under trooped though.

I also tend to take an icon on my larger plague bearer squad and run 15ish bearers.

The thought is that you often want to delay your blood crushers. So you drop the plague bears up close and bring the crushers in on the second wave.

I do see what you are doing with wound distribution though. I works really well, but at only 5 crushers you get less mileage out of it than in a bigger unit.

i only have 2 MC if i don't use my best units what else can i hide behind lol

i think 4 squads of 5 is better than 2 of ten for T5 models with FNP

that also give you 4 units to deep strike on objectives with less chance to mishap

I here ya. I do too.

I've actually been having more luck with a list like this,

Blood Thirster , +1 str, 2+ null save
GUO, puke
8 blood crushers, icon, rend, musician
12 plague bearers
16 plague bears w/ icon
3 soul grinders w/ phlem

At 1750 I just have a tough time with fate weaver. He's just sooooo expensive, and kinda fragile.

This list just has so many more bodies that it ends up being comparable in resilience. It also adds a lot of tank hunting with the extra soul grinder and GUO.

All and all though either one of these list just walk all over the competition. The two list I have trouble with though are Vulkan termies with a librarian, and two lash chaos. Daemons just have a tough time with strong psychic abilities as the only protection is for khorne heralds and blood thirsters. It's a shame it doesn;t nullify the whole power or pass on some protection to the squad they join.

GUO is amazing just soooooo slow

8 crushers in 1 squad is a disaster waiting to happen

split those bearers up into 3 squads you need the small unit to hold single objectives way away from the battle

fate weaver is a monster just requires some luck but thats 40k! t5 with a reoll 3+ puts the odds in your favor

The big problem I've found with fateweaver is that invariably, your force becomes dependent on him. If he's not on the table, or not in range, those squads become much less survivable.

For example, against dual-lash, one lash moves fateweaver out of range, then the other clumps the bloodcrushers together for plasma cannon fire. 6 plasma cannons will probably wipe one squad, then the next turn, they wipe the second and you're screwed.

At larger point values...sure. But while his effects are pretty extreme, in smaller games, its a bit too much of a hit or miss proposition with me.

Without fateweaver support? With each plasma cannon getting 3 wounds on average? 18 hits, 15 wounds, 10 past the saves.

There may be one or two left, with a single wound on each.

thats saying you always hit on your scatter? and get all 3 ? alot of the time you will only get 1 or just miss plasma are very unreliable vs monstrous creature bases

6 will never do 14 wounds to crushers.....unless your crazy lucky and i fail all my saves..

2d6 means that 66% of the time, the scatter is minimal. With lash, you can't spread out effectively, and remember that you don't center the marker over a model, you have the center of the template over the base.

the inner circle has to be over the base even if the hole squad is SUPER bunched you can only get 3
