I was thinking lately how the average dakkadakka user is like and so I designed a series of polls.
When the time for the polls is up I will analyse the results and then I will post what the average dakkadakka user is like.

So there will be a couple of polls each will run for a week, there will be five polls and the questions are:
sex?
Age?
Married?
Favorite movie type?
Army?

Oh nooos I just found out you can't have multiple polls, there goes my idea.

I've never done a poll here. Can you not just make multiple threads with polls, then tally the results and make a post about it?

Yeah, just do that, just dont make them all at the same time though so that there is not a flood of posts from you at once... run a poll for a week, then run another poll and so on until you have the data you want.

I've seen a few female WHFB players, a "few" meaning two, one who was really serious about it. I've seen one woman, ten years ago, who actually collected and played 40k.

There was 1 girl at the last Fantasy tournament I went to. I think she
played more often than I did.

No supprises here so far. I know there are a couple of women around, but in my experience they are a bit shy because of overzellous gamer dorks who freak out (one way or another) when they see a girl. That and playing with toy soldiers is not generally a girl thing (even if painting is).

The big problem is neckbeards. Honestly, they are just like trekkies; they repel women (and a lot of socially well-adjusted people) like a loaded gym-sock smelling gun.

Seriously guys; step a few feet back, run a few laps, wash up a bit, and don't keep on making fun of/ telling me and my friends army lists and strategy sucks, especially after we pile-drive your twin-lash/nidzilla BS into the ground.

A lot of my friends get into the game really excited and sort of lose steam after facing one too many rules lawyers and people who are waaaaay to into the game (please stop dancing, please)

Luckily, the FLGS I now frequent has a great diversity of players (even, *gasp*, women!), and there are days when mostly the casual players come in. I love being able to field crappy fun lists without having the guy across from me/ the guy watching over my shoulder constantly telling me how I need to drop those buggies or deffkoptas for lootas or not to bring a ton of meganobz.
