How would you feel if your opponent used Run of the mill Cadians as stormtroopers with "Count as" hellguns? Do you think this would be a problem? The reason I ask is because I've been admiring GK Terminators for a while and now and would like to include as much of my current IG stuff as I possibly can.

First, no I do not think that cadians represent storm troopers, just like marines do not represent terminators. Secondly... why don't you just take allied GK terminators with an IG army?

Are you going to convert them with more armor and power packs? If so, they're Storms.
If not, then, Cadians Inducted Guard / AF squads.

I have no problem facing Cadian as stormtrooper as long as there are no other cadian representing Troop squad.

Hi
No prob for friendly games I would think (unless you are playing against an ass).
If you wanted to use them in tournaments, you could add small magnets and cables so you could use them as normal or hellguns.

No. Read the Ally rules in the Daemonhunters codex. (similar rules exist in the Witch Hunters codex).
You have two options. You can have your Codex: Imperial Guard army, and include up to 1HQ, 1 Elite and 1 Troops from Codex: Daemonhunters, or alternatively you can have a Codex: Daemonhunters army and include certian units from an Imperial Guard army, as shown in a chart.

yeah, you could add a platoon of cadians without a problem. Also, if you are patient, plastic stormies are rumored to be out by march.

Careful when inducting GKT's though, they suck alot of points very quickly.

If, as has been stated earlier, the ONLY Cadian models you have on the field are being used to represent Stormtroopers, then that's fine.
Anyone who has a problem with it is having their turn at being TFG.
I used to play GK's & used Steel Legion as my Storm troopers, because I liked the way they looked. I NEVER had a single problem with it.

I use cadian troops as ISTs in my DH army.
They have had headswaps (Pig Iron visored heads) and backpacks and cables going to their guns. I also have some of the kasrkin models and older metal Stormies.
All are painted in the same scheme, though (which is different to the "inducted" guard troops (many of which are RT vintage plastic models), and a couple of squads of catachans (mostly metals).

So long as you make them stand out from your average Cadians. Whether it be different heads, or paintjobs, or whatever. I don't want to shoot up a squad of something thinking it was something else.
Also, the Kaskrin Stormtroopers look great(despite sucking ass short of their special weapons), I'd recommend buying them at some point down the line.

The kaskrin are so much nicer than the Inq stormys... Those things are just poroly modeled IMO

"kasrkin" ARE the inquisition's storm troopers - they're just the cadian ISTs. As 'kasr' is what the cadians add to their major city names (like 'ciudad' (sp?).

No, Kasrkin are Cadian *Grenadiers* that have similar utility to Stormtroopers.
They are equivalent to Stormtroopers, but technically, Stormtroopers are Imperial forces from off-world, and would be from outside the Cadian Regiment system.
Imperial Stormtroopers are a different kettle of fish, and are what the Inquisition uses.

Like people were saying, so long as it is consistent, go for it, but just straight induction of IG troops is a stronger plan for you, depending on how many GKs you have to field.
As a side note, some SM scouts with Pig Iron heads make for cool looking storm troopers. You can use the shotguns for Arbites or modify the guns they have. I did that for the veteran guardsmen for an Inq. Retinue:

I use my Hardened Vets (mostly catachans) for WH Stormtroopers all the time). I would be surprised if anyone actually had a problem, since they're the only IG in my army if I'm using them like that.

I often take an inquisitor with my guard army, he gets 2 mystics and 3 warriors in his retinue. I think the warriors are supposed to be like stormtroopers? But, I use normal cadian models only they are painted different (black & red uniforms as opposed to black & gray for my normal cadians) and also all 3 of them have plasmaguns instead of hellguns.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I actually use cadians for my ISTs. However I have converted their lasguns to look like H&K MP5s. Got that idea from an old WD. Heck, that's what I love about Inquisition armies, the possibilities for conversions.
