I got my digital camera back, and got some pics of one of the AOBR Dreads that I put together.

After I was done painting and basing, I took my hobby knife to it... gave it some battle damage... I figure since the Scythes are so limited in their resources, anything they have is gonna be a bit banged up (at the least).

Edit - The camera brings out major flaws in the paint job..wow... granted, on the normal size model the paint job looks good...but wow... I have alot of work to do on my painting skills... even tho it's not totally done yet... heh

I have to re-paint this guy (along with the entirety of my Dark Angels force from 2nd Ed)... I sorta bashed this - found the cannon arm from another minis game, don't remember what it was called tho.
I'll probably just use him for a Heavy Bolter marine.. unless I can think of a better use for the weapon.

Remember when you could buy Autocannons for your Devastators?

The battle damage on the dread looks really good, the gun on the marine might look better held like the chaos hvy bolter imo. cant wait to see the dread touched up though, keep up the good work!

Yeah... the marine's weapon was of the old 2nd edition type... I think I can take my dremel and carve out the shoulder pad and arm attached to the cannon.

The camera really helped me pic up on the painting skills that I need to get better at... hard to see how well the tiny details came out when they're so tiny... heh
