This is the fluff for all my imperial armys. its in episodic form so im going to add new chapters to the story maybe later today or tomorrow and keep going form there. so here goes.

chapter 1: the gathering storm
merove would be a planet of no importance if it was not for the fact that it is an astartes homeworld and the heroism of its patron saint St. Guils during its darkest hour in M41 Y439.
in that year St. guils was an acolyte of inquisitor arneus who came to merove investigating a chaos cult dedicated to nurgul. during the fight to purge the cult the inquisitor was wounded by a plaguebearer and was dieing. as a final act arneus promoted guils to full inquisitor status. his first act as an inquisitor was to investigate reports of tall green creatures in the woods near the military fortress city of bryen. he took a squad of inquisitorial stormtroopers to find the creatures. soon after they arrived they found strange four toed tracks leading into the woods. following the tracks they found a camp of tents inhabited by tall avian creatures. one of the creatures greeted them.
"greeting we are the kroot of the winding path kindred. our shaper has been expecting you." the kroot lead the inquisitor to a tent in the center of the camp. inside the tent was another kroot who introduced himself as shaper shal'nock and began to tell him of the prophecy that had lead the kindred across ultima sigmentum to merove.

Admiral Chester W Nimitz wrote:The war with Japan had been re-enacted in the game rooms here by so many people and in so many different ways, that nothing that happened during the war was a surprise.

and now episode 2

chapter 2: plague unleashed
the kroot began to explain the prophecy that had brought them to merove. ten years ago the kindreds shaman whent on a vision quest, he returned from the quest with a vision of a kroot paridise far across the stars. he explained that to reach the paridise they would first need to help a leader on that planet who would save the planet from a great catastrophy. the shaper explained that guils was that leader, that he was destined to save merove and in return for the kroots help he would give them a place to be sheltered from a yet unknown oppressor of the kroot race. in time the kindred would grow and evolve until they were strong enough to save the rest of the kroot race.

meanwhile the survivors of the nurgul cult began their emergency plan. they turned themselves into living bombs infected with the zombie plague. they detonated in all major population centers except the fortress city of bryen. in a mater of hours most of the urban population of merove were zombies. the rest where slowly being overrun.

by the way if anyone has any questions please post them so i can fill in any problems with this story
