But watching my local Store put together the Stompa, I got the chance to have a look at the Sprues. And parts of the Crows Nest etc look *extremely* Killa Kan...as in semi circle of plastic, with a Vision Slit ala Deff Dredds and Kans.

And seeing as how the Stompa kit is made up of lots of identifiable parts, could this be a hint of things to come?

Maybe it's more a dig at how Stompas are sometimes built and cannibalized from other vehicles, such as Deff Dreads, Kans and Battlewagons. I think the Ork codex has a snippet of background on Meks doing this from time to time.

Indeed, but it seems a waste of an opportunity to semi-sculpt one into expensive plastic without pursuing it further.

And I get the funny feeling they would have taken it from an existing frame....hmmmm.

Stompas are often an overzealous Mek they just can't stop welding and riveting... and I'm willing to bet he isn't picky about where he gets the parts.

But the Stompa does look cool so far.

It looks like a kan, it feels like a kan, but nah, its too fat to be a kan!!

That said, I'll probably use it as a kan, then I can put a real can as a shoulder nest!!

Who knows? Maybe the devs designed a plastic Kan kit with their CAD software and someone stopped by, looked at it and wanted to copy-paste it onto their Stompa design to see how it would look.

gotta love that stompa head.

Man, does that kit look fantastic. I can't wait to see what sort of cannibalized monstrosities get built between the Stompa and the new Battlewagon...

I held a stompa on saturday and It was about 14 inches high. Its really light too. I reckon my baneblade is heavier than it in plastic weight!

typhus, there's always hope! If it even vaguely looks like a killakan you'll find it on the battlefield with legs/tracks/wheels on it!

14", nice. I just hope that I can fit it into my display cabinet.
