So I had the idea to convert a ard boy to look like a death korp storm trooper. Before I go off and make 19 more of these boys, I figure Ill ask the dakkaites if they think the conversion is any good- so what do you think?

What a great idea! Good execution, bar the roughness already mentioned by others. Smooth your GS out after it's hardened a bit.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I like the face mask if -as has been said- you smooth it down a bit.
I like the additional piece on top of the back pack.
I think you did a NICE job on his right shoulder pad.
I don't DISLIKE, but I don't like the rest of it, as it looks overly "rough." Also, the coat hanging over his butt looks too thick.

Great concept & start, though.

Pretty good, don't forget to add some orky bitz to em. Look forward to seeing the rest.

btw, I'm pretty sure that the bayonet is supposed to go on the Ork Sluggas and flipped the other way around.

Im sure this thread was a few pages back

BUT since its here, I wouldnt make 30 of those lol. I seem to kick ALOT of ass just putting 12 Ard boyz in a trukk. The speed makes them an excellent strike force, and the trukk, I always position so it blocks LOS from other units.

Does anyone have any good tips for smoothing out cured GS? I find myself in a similar position.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Best way to smooth cured GS is a file-down and a thin re-sculpt. It doesn't burnish so well once it's... welll... solid.

There are actually resin (or possibly metal) full-face gas-masked Ork heads somewhere out there in the internet, I just can't remember exactly where. You've done the ork-skull overlay nicely though.
