OK so I though that the land speeder was a pain.

The drop pod assembly was going soooo well until I got to the drop harnesses. Did they not get the size correct for the "2 part" cylindrical insert that is supposed to be inserted into the center console? (There are 5, 2 part pieces)

Is it just my model that has this problem?

I know I can shave the pieces down but what a pain in the arse.

Anyone else see this?

GG

did you wait till the last part of assembling for doing those? I have done that with one of my pods as well and then it doesn fit very well, with my second pod I did it while building the five side parts and no problem their

The only thing that is glued is the center 5 sided "base" control console. I haven't glued the harnesses or the "harness mount bulk head" yet. Just test fitting. The instructions don't tell you to glue the harnesses or bulk head until last anyway. Also if you were to glue all the stuff together before painting it seems like a real pain to try and paint the interior properly. That is why I was only test fitting.
