OK so I am starting a new SM band of brothers so to speak and I started with the good ol Scout Squad. I've assembled them, trimmed, and primed them. Now come the hardest part. Picking what chapter to go with. I wanted to do something that was not in the norm but do a Chapter that had some history and isn't one of the numerous unk chapters. I kind of narrowed it down to the SCYTHES OF THE EMPEROR or the IRON FISTS. The general pubic will decide my fate please respond.

The Scythes interest me b/c they are a chapter that almost got destroyed and are rebuilding. This has forced them to fight with less heavy support and less tech like terminators good color scheme too. The new codex can give them personality traits which makes them even more stand alone.

The Iron Fists are cool looking have 1200 in there chapter opposed to the standard 1000. Have some notable history.

Check out Lexicanium and look them up. What do you guys think?

Well, tell us what you prefer, what the pros and cons are, and what your goals are. Otherwise, all we have to base our pick on is which we like best. (I like the sound of the Irons Fists, btw.)

I prefer the Scythes, plus more people know their fluff than that of the Iron Fists, so if you're doing it to have some history, that's a plus.

Thanks I think I like the Scythes too. I was thinking they only have two companies a marine and a scout chapter. I was thinking of a task force scout heavy army. Just generally saying that this is the front line force the chapter Master has his eye on for selecting his new brothers.

Iron Fists?

I hate to admit it, but I'm not sure I've ever heard of them.

But, even if I had heard of them, I'd still so go with the Scythes!
