ah, right you are, thanks, not that I would have checked a thread with that name, what with over 170 people dead and 700 homes destroyed.

There aren’t many worse ways of dying than being burned alive. My sympathies to the dead and their friends and family.

One of the fires 2 weeks ago burned through where my relatives live in Victoria and the flames came to the back fence of my uncle's house (went through a paddock as he is on the edge of town).

Fortunately (for us) the major fires over the weekend were further north.
