recently looked into a sisters of battle army, and found them intriguing and wouldnt mind a change of pace from my
normal orky activitites, so i thought of a SoB army that has been chasing and destroying enemies of the emperor for so long that they
themselves have begun to go down the path of chaos?

also maybe any ideas for using a army list for them?, i was thinking either
the Witch Hunters list with a few tweaks or a Chaos list made up to be SoB?

i could see this as the beginning of the end for the Emporium considering the SoB are probably the most faithful of all His servents
what do you guys think?

It depends on how much you care about Game's Workshop's fluff. It specifically states in the Codex that they are so pure, only a single Sister has ever fallen to chaos. If you find it too restrictive to follow their fluff and want to do it anyway, there are several other people who have done `Chaos Sisters' before, so if you look around you may pick up some ideas.

Well it might be the end for the Emporium, but I think the Imperium will hang in there a while longer. Fluff-wise, only one sister of battle has ever fallen to chaos.

The Emporium is coming to an end! And that means it's time for a super sale!

But back to the fluff question, I think creating a "fallen" SoB army is possible. Current fluff contains constant refernces to fallen Inquisitors, Space Marines, and Imperial Guard (including Commissars and Storm Troopers.) Several Marine Chapters have recently gone rogue during the Badb War, with the Astral Claws seemingly being irretrievably tainted by Chaos. (And if you view the video games as cannon, several other marine chapters have had members fall to Chaos.) Making Sororitas immune to Chaos is somewhat inconsistent with that fluff, and also makes them less interesting.

The Grey Knights are the same. Their fluff is that they are completely incorruptible: none have ever fallen to chaos.

Personally, I see it the other way. The Sisters are so devoted to The Emperor that not only do they perform minor miracles in His name, but they are an incorruptible force who would follow his will no matter what it may be, or where it would end. Even if soldiers, super-soldiers and even Inquisitors can be tempted away, these women are inviolable. This was one of the things that attracted me to the army. Each to their own, of cause, but you need to remember that there is always a completely different point of view out there.

yeh...until the last grey knights book came out.

It's fine yes if you can justify it in the fluff. As it is written only 1 sob is known to have defected, so as long doesn't concern some huge event every would know about, fair enough.

heres someones army off coolminiornot. (heres the onsite page to credit the creator)

who was the fallen sister?

and anyway, i think model wise, a chaos sisters army can be really sweet (see above for example)...
im sure with some clever writing you could convince people its fluff possible...

That bit about only one Sister falling to Chaos is from the 2nd Edition codex. The Witch Hunters codex makes no such claims. Actually, according to the Daemonifuge graphic novel, a number of Sisters fell to Slaanesh.

That Sister that fell in the 2nd Ed. codex's name was Miriael Sabathiel, and she also fell to Slaanesh.

Yeah, I was just thinking of the Daemonfuge GN while reading this. However, I do like the idea of SoB being uncorruptable. Certainly do a Chaos SoB army if that's what you feel inspired to do. As you've seen it may take some serious conversion work. For my own SoB fluff, I've got one of the order having fallen to Chaos and has become a DP for my Word Bearer army. I've also got fluff for them having a long history w/ my DE Kabal also. It's sorta fun to intertwine the histories of the armies I play.

good input from everyone, and sorry dont know why i said emporium and not imperium! oh well, my excuse is that i was tired and it was late into the night
i personnally wasnt quite thinking of the slaneesh theme myself but it is an intriguing concept i believe.....however fluff wise i think that it wouldnt work and my local games shop boys wouyldnt exactly let me play with it
i think theyre pretty anal about stuff like that

conversion wise it would be diffecult to do a whole army since the models are metal and im not that great at converting, but i may try my hand at a model myself just for the hell of it.....and maybe thatll statisfy my imagination
thanks for all the input!

You could do it with the Witchhunter's codex I think, and just use some of the Carnival entries for the more berzerk chaos stuff.
