Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm playing my first game with Tau in the near future (well, however long it takes for me to slap some paint on 'em!).

Their Jetpacks give you the ability to move in the assault phase without assaulting.
Deep strike says you can't assault on the turn you DS.

but can you use the Jetpack move after you DS? (Thinking a squad could DS, shoot and then spread out to avoid return fire from blast weapons)

Ta in advance,

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

I think normally jet pack infantry could move in the assault phase on the turn they arrive as long as they aren't assaulting however, the Tau crisis and stealth suit rules specifically state that they cannot.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

The only squad that can do it is drone squadrons.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

I've been playing my Tau incorrectly. :(

Man, everytime I think I'm doing a pretty good job and have learned the rules pretty well, something new comes up!
