A couple of points,

what do people think? - i wasn't impressed with the balconys not quite fitting. The 'nobs' on the walls ehere they cannect give good extra strength - why couldn't they add something to the floors as well so they are easyier to join in large amounts?

forgeworld - will they make new 'tiles' - new wall sections, floors (both rubble and solid) and accessories or are sales not high to make it worth while?

Are you talking about the citites of death buildings? I wouldn't know, I dont have any of them.

But I did recently buy some Pegasus Hobbies buildings and I'm very pleased with them! They work perfectly for 40K

NEver had a problem with them.

Like any construction project, you do need to plan it out ahead, and build in levels.

Plasticard makes a good solid base, as the poly cement will give the ground floor added strength as it dries.

The Balconies....been a while since I built them, but I don't recall any problems? I don't mean to be rude, but are you sure you're putting them on right?

They're not major probs, it's just the 'lip at the bottom where the walls attache to the floor - some have them and some don't. They walls for the balconys also seem slightly too long. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Do the walls go on top of the floors or around the side and the floor bottom sit level with the wall bottom?

I sympathise a little. There's nothing of substance to conncect the pieces together. I know it sounds daft with plastic, but have you tried pinning? This was how I got around some of the weaker joins.

I've done the Sanctum and Basilica (only two I've ever got, both were gifts). My GW buildings are little more than facades, normally (open at the back).
The wall sections were glued together first using a good poly cement (liquid) and left to dry. Balcony was attached to front wall while wall was flat (don't have to fight gravity as well, that way). After front wall was dry (with balcony attached), ONE side wall was butted up to it and glued with the same liquid poly ('catches' in 10 seconds, grabs in a minute - dries in a couple of hours). Internal floor sections were glued to both walls and held in place with braces (and objects of appropriate height underneath). Final wall then glued to front wall and flooring.

Took a couple of days overall. Trying to rush it doesn't help. When (If?) I do another GW one, I'll definitely pin to help the pieces stay in place, but I've since found Pegasus' stuff and they're better value for me.
