I don't understand why they don't think they can't compete against Space Hulk but who knows how things will shake out.

I think it's a good move to cut your losses at an early stage instead of sacrificing your savings, solvency and future, especially since we're facing a massive recession. It might be that there won't even be a new Space Hulk, but even the possibility is something that a struggling competitor cannot ignore.

So now we know why SH was announced for 2H 2009.
GW's better at FUD than I might have guessed.
Bravo!

While I do think this is a smart move on Grindhouse games part I am still saddened by this. I just happened upon there site not to long ago, and thought that the game sounded great.
Though free rules is good, and if they are good enough I will probably end up buying them from the company anyway if not for any reason but to support the little guy.

Personally I am more interested in this game then Space Hulk.
I already have the Space Hulk game. Incursion has... ZOMBIES. Space Hulk is old and already pigeon holed.
I will be picking up my starter set next month, and my germans the next. More to follow.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

Hey guys.
The thing is that a boxed game is a far bigger investment than a rulebook, and hits you all at once unlike a mini line. Having your board game hit the market at the same time as a remotely similar product of a company the size of GW doesn't have to cost you many sales before it becomes a moneypit.
So, we are figuring out the best format to bring Incursion to market, but it definitely IS coming out, no matter what. Since we are not looking at a traditional boxed release, it will come out as a better deal to our fans, all things considered.
