So what are people's opinion on the subject. I normally take cybork nobs with a painboy so I like having the 5+ invul with the 4+ FNP. Even if I get hit with AP1 & AP2 I get a shot of living. I seem to play Tau alot so 4+ save doesn't do much.

I don't have my codex, but I think the point costs is the same.

The eye of terror.

Cybork is better because it gives you a chance against Str 8 weapons that would otherwise remove an ork with no chance to save at all.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

I second that most people will throw things at that nob squad that would normally nix their armor save.

I disagree. I think a 4+ cover save is better than a 5+ invulnerable save. It is also free.

Either using terrain, or screening units, or gretchin, or vehicles....I ALWAYS pretty much have a 4+ cover save. My nobs have 'Eavy Armor, and I usually have an 'Ard Boyz mob in my army, but I've given up taken Cybork bodies because the only time I ever end up needing it is in close combat against power weapons, and I have other means (tactics) of minimizing my exposure there.

I end up with a 4+ armor save (close combat), 4+ cover save, 4+ feel no pain.

Honestly, I think you can spare your Nob squad 50 points of cybork bodies by using terrain and screening units tactically.

4+ armor is good for smaller units that cna get transported around. The same is true even more so for 3+. Besides from all the anti-infantry killing AP based weapons.

For orks, you want to worry about confering a cover save (in 5ed, good old 4+ ) as you have the massed troops to do that. Therefor a 5+inv is a good secondary save. A fall back position.

Cover saves work well until you get hit by heavy flamers, inferno cannon, whirlwind incendiary shells, etc, etc. Also, powerfists are one of the best reasons to take cybork bodies.

I figure I better clarify.

I always take Ghazghkull Thraka + 10 Nobs. The reason *I* don't particularly worry about power fists is because if I'm up against something that can tear up my nobs (Abbadon, Assault terminators...especially in cover) and stuff, I'll break Ghazghkull off from my unit and he'll declare a Waaugh! and go assault them alone. I'll have my nobs do something else for a turn (kill another unit) while Ghazghkull takes his 7 powerklaw attacks and 2+ invulnerable save and tears into the powerfists / terminators / whatever.

Next turn, my Nobs will assault into the unit I'm already locked in combat with, and because of the way assault rules on multiple assaults work, only a couple of models of his will be able to assault me.
