not so recent, but i got bored and decided to make these with the marines i wasnt using (and a few koptas)
thinking about making 3 more, but want some C&C 1st, want to try and make the next 3 better, these were only quick konvershunz, i may spend more time on the next lot, but enjoy

lol, i needed ideas for weapons, and i had 3 koptas i wasnt using, so i started hacking them up to see what i could "borrow" from them.

The cables are too bright imo. Maybe just put some brown wash on them.

Alright so you are lucky that the end results are so awesome. Because its not very often that I let people get away with using perfectly good dreadnoughts as something different. But these orky noughts are beautiful.
I love the close combat arms, and the ork drivers. Nice converting, and I think you should make three more. I wanna see what else you come up with.

Woo they look great! The 2nd one's cockpit area is a definite improvement.

But i liked the first one's too. Reminds me of The Shinning when Jack breaks the door and sticks his head in.

The conversions are very neat, as those above I love the helicopter blades used as a klaw. The checks are well done as well.

looks like i got 3 more to be making once i order parts


thalor, due to a stupid accident i had a few months ago i dont have a steady hand atall now, so painting checks is a nightmare, need to pick up a small tip pen for drawing them out 1st, rather than just painting squares at a time.

Good conversions but not maybe the best way of making deffdreads imo

very cool JD. I have to admit I didnt rate them at first. Once I saw the completed paint job though it really pulls them together.

If I didnt need all my dreads I reckon I'd copy this... (still might).

two added to avoid relying on it's miserable BS of 2.

they do look pretty plain, but due to the way the black reach dread is moulded it allows no possibility of changing its pose to any degree, check where the waist joint meets the back
ruins any chance of changing its legs about.

As a player who regularly faces them, i must confess im not a huge fan of orks
However! these are some of the best (and most orky) conversions for them ive seen in a while. I love the deffkopta rotor blades as claws, and the pilot faces peeking out of the holes are great

HELL YES! I love looking at other Ork players to see what they come up with. Seriously I think Im stealing that klaw idea. I just got some plastic rods and such to remake my deff dreds and that klaw is total pimp.
